"I have stayed at this property twice! The staff is very nice and accommodating! Robert was there when we checked in and out and made us feel very welcome. The night clerk was helpful when I had to change my reservation at midnight, just days before my stay, I'm sorry I don't remember her name. Everything is very clean and the breakfast has a larger selection than most! "

"Clean and very pretty, old hotel. The hostess, Joy, was an absolute joy! Conveniently located close to downtown Trinidad."

"Kim Douglass at the front desk is such an asset for your hotel! She was so kind and helpful and check in was a breeze! In addition, my husband left his Apple Watch in the room and within a few hours, we got a call from Tiffany that it had been found! Such a wonderful bunch of people at this hotel and having a restaurant in the lobby is priceless! Unfortunately we were only at this hotel for one night but we will definitely be back soon and for longer! "

"Extremely clean room, new soft yet thick towels. The interior rooms are very quiet. Very friendly staff. No price gouging even right before the local annual bike race. Very affordable. I would definitely recommend this place. I love cats, I especially enjoy seeing cats playing around on the back parking lots. Apparently staff members are feeding the cats. It just warms your heart knowing that people care about these street cats."

"This was a solo trip for me. Parking was up close which i appreciated, arriving after dark. Also appreciated the desk clerk hobbling (he had a broken ankle himself) when he saw me struggling with suitcase, atlas, cane and backpack. I slept well as the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and i felt secure. Loved the furniture in the lobby! Also of note was the fact they had something besides sweets for breakfast. Will definitely stay here again if i am ever in the area. "

"Craig and Judy are wonderful hosts and we could not have had a more delightful stay! Every amenity you could possibly need has been provided along with a bowl of snacks on the table. The cabin was just what we were hoping for with wonderful views that make you just want to sit and relax for hours. We enjoyed hiking around the property and using the shooting range. We hope to return in the future. Thanks Craig and Judy!!!!!"

"House was wonderful, very clean and comfortable had everything you would need. The host were great did not have much contact with them just because we didn’t need to because everything was great at house. Will stay again when back in Trinidad Co. "

"We had a great retreat! The cabin was delightful in every way… quiet, relaxing, great views, remote and the host made us very comfortable and welcomed!!! Loved all the special touches! Looking forward to a return!!!"

"It was a great location especially after being in the car all day. Easy walk to dinner. Everything worked as it should with plenty of coffee and water. Stairs up may be difficult for some with lots of luggage but we navigated them easily with minimal luggage. "

"good place to just get away from all the noise of everyday life and watch a great sunset. do be aware though there are some cactuses around the property so if you have an animal bring some boots and tweezers for them"
