"Convenient to interstate, clean room, and breakfast was great."

"Shower shelf was falling off, television was old tech, could not watch things like my netflix which is available on most other hotels, Breakfast was minimal with basic sausage links and scrambled eggs that looked like they were pre packaged I realize it was 4th of july so the hotel was noisy but there was a group of young men at the front door when we checked in, smoking and drinking, and being loud. Our room was directly above them the noise was distracting. Management should have asked...

"Would not recommend. This hotel was over priced for what it is. Sheets had stains, furniture was falling apart, carpet was sticky, etc. Breakfast was very basic."

"From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much. But, when you walk into the room, it is amazing! Really clean, updated and very spacious. It was convenient to places to eat and very quiet. I would highly recommend."

"The lobby had a very offensive smell. Like someone had sprayed the place with a bunch of febreze air freshener. One of those smells that stays with you for a while and stayes in your clothes. We stayed on the second floor. Looked like the hallway hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The room did not have an alarm clock. Breakfast was okay and they kept plenty of fresh cold water in the lobby. Parking was okay. Sites a little tight for a SVU or pickup truck."

"The reception desk person was very nice and made sure I was able to access the room okay. I was happy that this property was pet friendly. At first glance the room looked good, but when I laid down and looked at the ceiling, I noticed a bunch of red stains above the bed. The area of town the property is in is rundown and a little sketchy and once I got in the room, I locked the door and didn't leave until I checked out in the morning."

"The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up...

"This property owner is non communicative with both guests and VRBO. They will eventually, at the last minute when prompted by vrbo, send check in instructions and say they expect a 5 star review. We would not feel safe traveling to this property (especially with children) without solid communication. All onus is placed on guests no matter the circumstances. This property owner knows that and works in those parameters. Cannot in good faith recommend this property or host."
