"Room was clean ,mold on the bathroom ceiling.Breakfast pretty much a joke, beds very uncomfortable, beach was great. The pool and spa was nice and clean. We would stay again for the pet friendly aspect."

I spoke with the maintenance man who was the exact maintenance man that I spoke to this past weekend he told me the exact same story he told me two years ago about how the new owner was gonna start improving the place and making it a whole lot better for guest. "The property is beautiful, the gardens are breathtaking, and the staff is kind and seen often working on the property. The lakeside view is exquisite, the cottage itself is absolutely charming. The location is perfect for a summer weekend. We will definitely visit again, Highly recommend."

"Views were beautiful! The beach area was pretty nice minus all the bugs. They are not mayflies, the entire beach is filled with piles of bugs on the sand, and dozens land on you the entire time you sit there trying to relax. The webs on the outside of cabins were insane which lead to dozens of HUGE black spiders that come out as soon as the sun goes down. Very old rustic cabin, had what you needed but extremely old and needs some updating."
