"The room was comfortable, the location was odd, I didn't feel comfortable leaving anything in the car, but that could just be me not having any local knowledge. Road construction limited local movement. Breakfast selection was very limited. But the main issue was wifi and because the tv ran on hulu, all streaming, we couldn't watch anything. I did call the front desk and staff offered to come up but after I asked if they were working alone, I said we could live without it"

"The hotel had a cool vibe. We were disappointed the restaurant and bar were not open. We went across the street to the deli/market to get some dinner but. The hot food section was closed so we ended up with junk food for dinner."

"Breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. For a Best Western Plus hotel it was way below standard and was not worth the paid rate. Very basic, outdated and heavy odor. It was not better than motel 6"

"I wanted something on the coast and off the beaten path.Shelter Cove was a delightful surprise! The people were kind and friendly. If you want to relax and unwind,this is a great spot.The Bistro at the Inn of the Lost Coast had the best German Chocolate cake I have ever tasted."

"We booked rooms at a listed price. We knew it was non-refundable. After the booking was made, but before we arrived, we were then contacted by the hotel requiring us to pay more money for cleaning services. I objected and said I would like to cancel our reservation because it wasn't the amount we had agreed on. They said the money was non-refundable and we could either agree to pay more money or lose what we had originally agreed to pay and not have a place to stay. Incredibly unprofessional...

"The bed was comfortable and clean. The furniture needed to be replaced as it was worn out. The bathroom needed a good, deep cleaning. The location is nice as it’s right by a grocery store and within walking distance to a few restaurants. They offer a pool and hot tub, which would be a great amenity, but was not in working order when we arrived. Breakfast offered multiple options. The staff were friendly and helpful."
