The cottage was of mid-century design that is badly in need of renovation (broken fixtures, uncovered electrical outlets, mold/mildew growth in the bathroom). It was a non-smoking room, but clearly people were smoking there. I think the place was emblematic of the Catskills as an area that once was a great place to visit, but has fallen into disrepair over the past several decades. "

"Spent the weekend by myself to enjoy some skiing ag Hunter Mountain and this was the perfect place to stay. Since I booked the accommodations Chuck, the innkeeper, has been in touch via email, arranged my late check in and everything was as planned. The inn is very cozy and comfortable. Breakfast is another conversation as Chuck himself bake muffins and prepares the best bacon ever. I will definitely come back."
