"The property is in need of a pretty serious overhall. My first room had an active roof leak on the bed. Staff immediately transferred me to another room. The bed and accessories in the room were good, but the walls had peeling paint and the shower/bathtub had plastic coming off of the floor."

"Rooms need some TLC, especially the bathrooms. Toilet needs to be replaced. Shower doesn’t drain properly (likely a plumbing issue with tub drain). Also, the windows have basic blinds but they do not have curtains."

"The property welcomes pets. The staff is very friendly. The lodge is about 10 minutes from Silver City. The Buckhorn Restaurant is nearby and quite good. The lodge rooms are dark and need attention but it sits in the woods and that makes it peaceful. "

"So my girlfriend and i have been stayong for a few weeks, and she was asked by management to do something not of a guests nature, and upon turning management down, we have accused of breaking the shower nozel, which we could likely be charged for, and if that happens, and lawsuit will be ensued."

"Floor was falling through in bathroom. Tub was dirty and did not trust the floor was going to fall through. Felt very unsafe staying here and the building says it’s being remodeled but should be condemned. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever seen and if I could have gotten my refund I would have stayed somewhere else. "

"Amenities were as described and host was most gracious. The in residence dog, Blue, was a friendly addition to our stay of 3 nights. Relaxing soak in hot tub and hummingbirds were a daily treat. Would highly recommend this location as the retreat it promises and we will stay again when back in Silver City area."
