"I loved the restoration with 60/70s themed fixtures and decor -- but all in perfect, like-new condition. Everything was great, unit was very clean and in excellent repair, it was quiet, and plenty of amenities are in the town nearby. The mattress was NOT 70s era -- it was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again."

I was surprised it was not busier for a Saturday night but most likely not the ideal time to be touring for most people prior to the snow-sports and after fall colors. The property was easy to find and I appreciated a simple key versus electronic swipe cards so I could leave door unlocked for loading/unloading. "From the outside we were a little skeptical (old fashion motif). One step in the door and it felt like home. Warn, clean, and the lounge was PERFECT. We played cribbage and met some new friends. We will definitely be back! What a great little place!"

"Stayed for the weekend - perfect for the two of us. There are two bedrooms in unit 1, one queen and one bedroom with two bunk beds. Kitchen with stove and microwave and full refrigerator. Small living room area to sit with couch and comfy chair. Outside was nice. Fire pit and an upper deck with gas fire pit. Nice view of the area. Gas grill on site too. Overall clean and cozy. Host was very responsive too. Great for our weeekend. "

"The Porkies are a great place to hike and see some beautiful scenery and waterfalls. The lodge was the perfect location being near the Black River and Lake Superior. Justin and Brittany couldn’t have been any nicer and accommodating. "
