"Peaceful "

"Even though the weather wasn’t great during our stay, the home was perfect! Tied our 20’ boat up to the dock, great water access to fish, and the screened porch allowed us to still be outside regardless of the heavy thunderstorms during our stay. Will definitely be bringing the whole family down mext time to enjoy this property!"

"If you like a relaxing and quiet stay, Slice of Heaven is the place. The lake house was clean and had everything you needed. Renee was quick to respond with questions and checking in to make sure everything was going well. "

"Perfect family getaway"

"Great property. Nice view and quiet cove. The screened porch was awesome even in the heat. Friendly note if going there... there is not a regular coffee make here, only a Keurig (which is ok we just weren't prepared for that)"

"My immediate family from NC and my extended family from VA have rented on Lake Gaston every summer for the past 6 years and this is our favorite house so far! Communication with the host was easy and there was always a quick reply. The house was clean and well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need and more and the house has many games, books and other items for entertainment. The property is well kept with a fairly level walk down to the lake. The dock is very spacious with a shaded area,...

"We had a wonderful stay. The house worked great for us - there were 6 of us with the youngest being 18. We had a couple hiccups in the beginning but the owner was quick to take action and we couldn’t have asked for better communication. House was fully stocked with kitchen necessities and was super clean! The dock was great for hanging out and swimming. Close to the grocery store and yummy ice cream at Washburns!"

"We are a group of 9 that were in town for a baseball tournament in Roanoke Rapids. The house was a quick 25 minutes to the ball field. While the rest of the team was crammed around a hotel pool, we were relaxing in the lake. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was spacious to cook and had all necessary supplies and even spices. When our tournament ran late, the owners were super responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again. "Very accommodating hosts, the farm is expansive with very friendly horses, chickens, goats and a pig. The dogs are understandably protective of their flock, which is a good thing out in the country! We stayed in the bungalow, which was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again!"

"Great property and location. Plenty of parking even room for a boat trailer if needed. Nice deck area with a great view, dock area much larger than what pics looked like, awesome bluetooth setup with fridge too. Awesome stay!!"
