"The room was clean but it had a strong air freshener smell. I believe those products to be toxic and do not like the in my living space. I could still smell/taste the air freshener for a couple of hours after leaving the hotel. I am trying to keep all toxins out of my body so this isn't a place I would choose to stay again although it was a nice place."

"Host was very quick to answer any questions i had and was very helpful! The place itself is so beautiful and it was an amazing stay! Lovely rooms and amenities! Comfy beds and heaters in every room! Which made it awesome in these colder months. Very spacious as well! The pictures made it seem a little small but there is so much room! Thank you so much! I would recommend! "This was the second time staying at Hope Acres. I loved it the first time. The second time was not so smooth. There was a red fire alert and we were not notified. We were not able to use the bbq or the fire pit. I felt like the host should have let us know in advance. Also I tried to call the host because I was not notified of the specific camp grounds and I never received a call back. The garbage’s were full and the outhouse we were supposed to use was also gross and full. "

"Home was fine. Had a pipe burst less than 40 hours before we arrived... Carpets were a bit wet and there was a musty, mildew smell. Host was very communicative and up-front about the issue... offered to fully refund, but we were too close to our trip to make different arrangements. I would still recommend this home. Should be totally fine once the host has an opportunity to clean it fully."
