"We loved our stay at the Laughing Coyote. If you are looking for quiet and solitude, this is the place. The cabin was comfy and had everything we needed. We explored the MANY trails around the area and fell more in love with the western side of the San Juans. Helpful info to know: you are 38 miles (1 hour drive) from Dolores on dirt roads. The roads to/from Rico are not as maintained so the drive is over an hour. The distance didn't bother us, since the views are breathtaking either direction....

"Most of our extended family was able to meet here as a halfway point between Montana and Texas. It was an amazing get away for our large group with plenty of room for everyone to have space.
