"The hotel and room looked nice and clean when I arrived, but that impression quickly changed. As I was getting ready for bed, I pulled back the blanket and found that the sheets were dirty and had fecal stains on them. I contacted the front desk right away and asked for the sheets to be changed. After waiting 30 minutes without anyone coming to the room, I went to the front desk to find out what was happening. The employee told me there was no housekeeper on duty and offered me fresh sheets...

"The room was clean, the staff was helpful. Quite place to stay."

"Had to put a $30 deposit just incase we stole the towels or left stains on anything. When I went into the room there were stains already on the bed sheets and covers, and the towels were also dirty and smelled weird. The room had a awful smell to it as well and wasnt that clean. The chair in the room also had a stain on it. The "continental" breakfast was just two different cereals with a gallon of milk next to it."

"We had 2 cockroaches in our room we had to kill, when we went to turn in the keys at 6:30 we could not find a key box to turn them in so had to slide them under the roll down door."

"The staff were polite and helpful. That being said, the floors had stains, the stairwells were musty/moldy, the continental breakfast was not: the two cereals were mixed together, no fruits or vegetables, neither was there any meats, it was not an expensive hotel, which is why I stayed there, but this was just above "run down." Will not stay there again unless I have NO other options."

"First - please get rid of the skeletons in the lobby area. It makes customers leary as they first walk in. I do appreciate that the supervisor fixed the room from two singles to one king size bed. It really needs some upgrading in the rooms."

"I had to book the fairly quickly for a funeral and didn’t pay much attention to the room on line, so imagine my delight when I realized it had a full size fridge, stovetop and cooking utensils. Although I did not use much of those amenities, I would have had I realized it had it. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I would book there again."

"As always, my stay was comfortable in a cool, clean and sufficient room. Front desk was pleasant as always. It is a no frills hotel, so don't go expecting room service. However, the room is clean and stocked with clean towels and soaps. I stay here when I work in Abilene and it has never disappointed."

"This was an inexpensive place to stay and it served its basic purpose, but the room could definitely use some attention. The room was quite dated, there were visible cigarette stains/burn marks on some of the bedding, the mattress was badly caved in on one side, and the toilet was broken during my stay. I’ll be attaching a photo of the toilet issue. I mentioned these concerns to the owner when I checked out after he asked whether I had experienced any problems. I went through the issues with...

"Great fishing cabin and great host."
