"The room was musty, humid, and had a strange smell. The curtains didn’t close all the way, and they didn’t let you take the hangers out of the closet to use the clips to close the curtains. The bed was extremely loud and uncomfortable."

The location was amazing and property was beautiful and as described. The extra amenities available for our group were so fun and utilized by everyone, Highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. There was a beautiful porch with comfy chairs overlooking a beautiful lake. We enjoyed our morning coffee there. Not one complaint or concern here!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Timberside! Everything thing was clean, check-in was a breeze and everything was as pictured. There are extras included such as shampoo and conditioner, yard games and a fresh loaf of zucchini bread! John was very responsive and the location was perfect. It’s just a couple of minutes from town but you wouldn’t know it once you are there. Our family really enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The home is incredibly spacious, offers fantastic activities, and features an excellent location. If you are planning a trip to Backbone State Park, this home is perfect, as it is just a short drive from the park entrance.However, we did notice a few details regarding the sleeping arrangements:Master Bedroom: The mattress is comfortable but the frame is quite squeaky. A single quiet sleeper will be fine, but multiple people may find their sleep...

"This was our second stay at this property. Location is perfect for our visit with our children who live in Dyersville. They’ve added a nice outdoor dining table and fire pit since our last visit. Linens are very nice. This is a very pleasant property with a great front porch!"
