"I was pleasantly surprised at how clean this hotel was. I especially liked that our room had laminate flooring not gross carpet! The mattress & pillows were on the softer side, which I prefer. "The pictures do not represent the property at all! The hotel is run down, at least by the looks of the outside and from desk area, and the area is extremely sketchy. When I booked this room, it did not say smoking room in the description, so when I showed up to the hotel, they said they only had a smoking room for me. "Our stay at this grand home exceeded our expectations. We checked in later than we had wished (our own travel snags) but our host was quick to respond and help us get settled in. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was stocked with anything you’d need, very clean and inviting. I only wish I’d had time to have a bubble bath in the beautiful tub. I’d highly recommend Shoal Creek B&B and would stay again in a heartbeat! "
