"The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The pillows were TERRIBLE. They all went COMPLETELY FLAT when laying on them. Also, the rooms are tiny. There was no closet, just a rod to hang a couple of items. The hose for the toilet was rusted and gross. I'm pretty particular when it comes to hotels - not snobby, just particular - and I chose this one based on reviews. I was very disappointed. Not worth the money, and not deserving of a 9.2 exceptional rating. The front staff was very nice...

"The room smelled really bad. This La Quinta charges for pets, which was a surprise. We have been staying at La Quinta for years and never encountered this. There were no luggage carts available at checkout. We waited 45 minutes and finally got an employee to help us, who we felt obligated to tip. Breakfast sausage was cold. $183 for one night is too much."
