"nice local hotel to visit the Big Bend park"

"Terrible place, we will never come back! Room was completely dirty with hairs left from previous guests everywhere. Moreover they advertise they offer equitation activities and this is not true! We checked out one day before the end of the reservation because we cannot stay more there and they refused to refund. No comment!"

"Our room was nice, but the walls were thin and/or poorly insulated. We could hear our neighbors up all night. The main hotel restaurant, Candelilla, was pretty good, but was expensive for what was served. Overall, it was a good place to stay vs a more rustic place in Terlingua, especially if you want hotel activities, but the activities tend to be expensive too."

"Accept it’s an old property but when there is no working TV I find it totally unacceptable for the price paid. Staff informed but not fixed during 2 night stay."

"Rooms clean and staff helpful. Not many amenities, but did not expect these"

"Great service"

"We stayed in Casita 2 for 5 nights and it was very nice except that the internet was slow to non existent for the first 3 nights. We had to use our cell service those nights which is not the best due to being in West Texas. Late on the third night the internet started working and was great the rest of the stay. The room was very nice and trash pick up and restock of toiletries and coffee was also great. Absolutely no complaints other than the internet. Great location if visiting Big Bend...

"Maravilhoso. Serviço satisfatório no meio do deserto."

"This place gets hit by storms constantly but no backup generator! so if your lucky enough to get this room when a random storm (wont appear on weather apps) hits be prepared to be without electricity and AC oh ya when that happens no water either for a whole night!!"

"After our experience with the teepees, this place is spectacular"

"Gave us the wrong key to the wrong room. Luckily no one was in there. Awkward and they were just kind of “whatever”…. Low care for customer service."

"Property was beautiful, and so was the surrounding area. Porta potty closest to our dome was not remotely clean at all, but the one 20 feet away from it was so it was no big deal. The first night was great, (other than getting bitten up) and then we woke up and made breakfast and left for our hike. When we got back to the dome, i attempted to make dinner and realized the area surrounding our food bags was being infested with ants that were getting through the cracks where the wall met the floor....
