"Breakfast was good. Room was ok. Bed wasn’t the greatest and room was missing a few items. Wi-Fi was spotty. Didn’t feel safe walking from garage to main entrance. Didn’t see security cameras around perimeter of property"

"Let me first say anyone who gave this property a 4 or a 5 must be getting paid. When we arrived they had cancelled our room. It was midnight. No other rooms were available but he magically came up with one. The room was old and dated. The sofa had embedded grime and grease on the arms. The carpet was old and filthy. Furniture looked like it came from a used thrift store. Bath tub was cracked. Didn’t want to sleep in the bed."

"N/a"

"When you arrive you don't speak with a person you checkin with an agent virtually through a kiosk. I had a room on the 2nd floor and moved everything up to the room, didn't notice til the 2nd trip that the door opened from the outside without using the key and the security lock was cracked and the deadbolt was loose. The only other rooms available also did not have working key doors. I did leave and received a refund for the night booked. There was also what appeared to be black mold on the...

"Overall, this COULD BE a great rental if the owner cared for the house and improved communication. It took me four months to get a response to revise our stay dates but we were finally able to about a month before our stay so it worked out. There were no hand towels in the downstairs bathroom nor hand soap. And no paper towels. But still those were things we could deal with. Our biggest problems were the fact the AC unit for the second and third floors didn’t work, and I mean the thermostat was...

"It was perfect! Just what we needed for a quick visit with family and could bring the dog!"

"Didn’t like king bed in upstairs with a-frame ceiling"

"We had so much fun exploring the Historic Downtown houses, businesses and market on Saturday. Great location for access to all the neighboring cities. Less than a half hour drive to the beach and lots of family fun."

"Perfect spot for me to spend time with my sailor stationed in Norfolk. He was able to stay a few days and it was perfect with his own bedroom and en suite. Host was wonderful and responded quickly. Would definitely come back. "

"This was a great location to stay at because we were close to the waterfront and the Elizabeth River Ferry, fun shops and restaurants, and only a 30 minute drive from Virginia Beach. Everything was clean and cozy for us!"

"The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated, and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to vacation here, but the house was not clean, the floors were filthy, leaving our socks and feet black if we went without shoes. We did clean all the floors, several times while there, because it took several cleanings before our socks and feet did not turn black, and before we checked out. The trash cans, one large and one small were overflowing when we arrived. The owners did send people out to pick up...

"Home was clean and had everything I needed for the stay. Kitchen is well stocked with cooking essentials & for coffee. Great location for my itinerary for this trip. I would stay again."

"Great host! Great experience! Cozy and equipped with everything I needed and more. I would definitely stay here again."

"This property is in a great location near beach and also casino"

"We were unable to stay in this location because of the extremely narrow and steep stairwell that you have to climb up to in order to get to the apartment. This place is not for the elderly. I am only 60 years old and in great health, the stairs were scary for me. The balcony is also very sketchy. The door to the balcony would not lock. Also, the location was a little bit suspicious with the toilet randomly sitting next to the house. Communication with the host was very good however, he also had...

"Great property not too far from the beaches! Between the pool, hot tub, mini golf, and theater room, our family had plenty to do at the house when we weren't out exploring Virginia Beach. Owner was quick to respond to any questions or needs as well."
