All damage from the December 2023 “extreme rain event” have been repaired. Don’t hesitate to book. You can have breakfast and dinner at the hotel cafe. Otherwise, there are very limited restaurant options, and no markets nearby, so stock up before you get on the ferry, either at Mossman or Port Douglas....

"When we booked the “Secluded Cottage” we expected a rustic ageing house with primitive facilities where we would have to rough it with limited power and no internet. How wrong we were. It was amazing. Set deep in the rainforest, it had all the facilities you would want and more. Beautifully fitted out and well maintained. Even now has Starlink so internet was as good as at home.
