"This lodging is a hidden gem away from Poas but close enough to get to the crater within 20 minutes. The views from the dining area were spectacular. The owner, Cindy, communicated clearly and often. She provided excellent directions to the property which is located high up on a hill in a residential area. The bedding was comfortable. "Staff met you at the front, Spanish-speaking only but super nice. The room was fantastic when we stayed. It was a little bit colder so there was a space heater. There’s a menu in the room for options for meals. We didn’t partake in any of this, but it was great to know that we had a food available if needed. "We stayed here for a few nights while visiting the Poas Volcano and area waterfalls. Our stay here was WONDERFUL! The place is clean, updated and has such a beautiful view. The host had great communication. We booked the place specifically for the hot tub and it did not disappoint, such a relaxing way to end the day after lots of hiking. 10/10 recommend!!"

"This hotel in nothing more than several rotted out cabins on the hill. The site says a 2 star hotel, it is not a one star by anyone's measure. If you do not have a jeep 4 wheel drive do not attempt to drive down to the hotel. We booked this and went to the hotel.
