Rockhouse hillside retreat

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This 2 bed 2 bath has close access to Buffalo Mtn trail system. It is located a mile and a half from the Hatfield McCoy trail 14. We offer a full stocked kitchen and bathroom. One bedroom has 2 queen beds. The other offers one king bed. There is a twin size trundle bed that sleeps 2. We also offer a queen size air mattress for more than 8 guest staying. Come visit Rockhouse Hillside Retreat and enjoy a peaceful Mountain View.

    Quiet & Relaxing

    After long days out on the SXSs it was nice to come back to a peaceful place with privacy. The front porch is covered which is nice when its raining. Everything was clean and cozy.

    Great Location to the trails

    Great over all! Liked the fact that there was laundry !only a couple of things would have made this a 5 all the way. Parking with trailers was tricky. Not enough room to turn around with other trucks and trailers in the lot. I could if the lot was empty. I ended up baking the trailer up the hill.The doors to the laundry machines kept falling off. If I wanted tick infested dogs on my porch begging for food I would have brought my own. What if someone is allergic ? glad we are not ! . The host was very responsive to my calls and text if i needed anything. The guys in the double bed room said the beds were loud when they moved around in them. (Squeaky)The house was comfortable and at a reasonable cost so with some of the negative things I have said, I would still book again!

    Stayed to ride ATV (SxS) Trails

    Was a clean and comfortable place to stay and ride SxSs.The only thing to watch for is I wouldn't suggest taking a trailer longer than 20', it's just super tight to turn around in. Great place to stay!

    Loving the Mountains!

    We are from lower Alabama, the gulf coast is our main area - we came to WV to ride the Hatfield McCoy trails and WV did not disappoint. The trails were amazing - for both single track and 4-wheeler! Our host was very gracious and helped us on our fist day when we had a slight emergency and was quick to help with any questions. We all have passed on rave reviews for the location and the trails!

    Rockhouse Retreat

    Everything was good. The host was responsive when we had questions or needed something. There is a hill so if you are pullong a trailer bigger than 25ft you might have an issue. There were several dirty dishes in the cupboards, but we just washed everything before we used them. Over all the place is great. The neighbor has 4 dogs that were very friendly and protected us.

    Great location!

    It was so nice to be up in the hills as compared to the ATV cabins, we drove past. Quieter, probably a bit cooler and right near the trails. Beds are all very comfy and plenty of bathroom space. We had a fabulous time!!

    We loved the location of the house and that we were mostly secluded. It was close to the trails. The house was clean and cute. We loved that it had a washer and dryer. The host was very responsive. We had plenty of room for parking. We have no complaints! We will stay here again in the future.

    Great stay

    Had everything we needed for an extended weekend of riding the HM trails. Very clean, comfortable and quiet but not far to Buffalo Mountain trail access and gas station. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit each evening. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Weā€™ve stayed many places in the HM system over the last several years and this house is one of the nicest weā€™ve seen. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

    Nice!

    We stayed for a week and road the Hatfield & McCoy trails. Neighborhood is quiet and the house was setup great for what we were doing. If you have a truck and a long heavy trailer that you can not spin around by hand you will have a difficult time getting it turned around. We unloaded the machines and spun our two-place aluminum trailer around by hand and tucked it next to the house so it was not a problem for us. Lynn responded right away to a couple of questions and was great to deal with.

    Rock House Retreat

    The Rock House Retreat was a great place to stay while we visited the HM trails. Lynn made it easy to check in, the house was clean when we arrived and the stay was very comfortable. It was also close to Delbarton, so we got to know the locals who were very kind and helpful, it's also close to trail 14 Trail Head which is nice and convenient.

    The house was amazing was clean and fully stocked with all we needed for the weekend. Parking was good. Only thing is if you got a great big trailer would be tough to get in and out. But other than that everything was great. Definitely recommend staying there. I know we will be again soon.
