Cozy apartment with unique charm

I enjoyed a snowy weekend getaway here. It has a warm and homey atmosphere, especially with the gas fireplace. The decor is folksy and charming. The bed is really soft and comfy. And the host is super friendly!

Deer River Stay

We so enjoyed our stay ! The apartment is very nice with a cozy cabin feel. The view of the lake and autumn colors were vibrant! We especially enjoyed afternoon/evening campfires. Jeannie checked us in and made sure we were comfortable.....also offered information about colorful scenic drives and hiking trails. I would recomend a stay at her apartment if youre in the Northern MN area !! :)

We were booked for 4 nights but got a call that my father in law was passing. We had to leave 2 days early. We hated to go, we loved our stay and our time with the homeowner. She is wonderful and so helpful.

Awesome cabin vacay

Great place to relax. Has all the cabin-esque stuff, as well as modern amenities. The lake is beautiful and sometimes itā€™s nice to just sit on the dock with your feet in the water. This is the way to vacation. Bring some groceries, grill some food, and relax.

An absolute gem! A Northern Minnesota Beauty

This lovely, cozy place is exactly what a person needs if they love northern Minnesota, enjoy being around lakes and need to escape and relax a bit. That being said, bring a jacket or sweatshirt- it can get cool at night even in the summer. Growing up and around Minnesota lakes my entire life, I've never seen a more beautiful lake then Deer Lake where this get away resides. Enjoy a dip in the cool lake, fish or glide across the lake in kayaks. The rental looks exactly like the pictures and has everything needed to make dinners in or outside grill options. Enjoy a little walk around the property noting beautiful native plants and flowers. The owner is magnificent. She is friendly, courteous and very welcoming. We plan to return next summer and hopefully stay longer.

Great Getaway

Perfect vacation! Peaceful, beautiful, setting with a wonderful hostess. Quiet evenings listening to the Loons and the wind in the trees is the best environment one could hope for to forget your troubles. Jean was a wonderful, accommodating, interesting hostess. Everything was as advertised. This is an ideal location for decompressing and renewing your health, physical and mental.

Loved this quiet, scenic property on Deer Lake in MN. Crafty decorations, separate bedroom, spa like bathroom, full kitchen, very comfotable front room/sitting room with amazing view of lake and great outdoor space with eating and lounging areas. My oasis before meeting up with family staying at other cottages on the lake. Welcoming and friendly host. I booked again for next year.

Gorgeous Winter Haven

Very easy process to rent this property. We were met with a huge smile from Jean, who is the epitome of "Minnesota Nice". Albeit winter, the view was spectacular and the area was peaceful and quiet.

PERFECT WINTER GETAWAY

Wife, dog and I booked this rental for a couple days before heading up to LOTW for a fishing trip. This cabin getaway was exactly what we needed, especially for my wife (25 wk pregnant). Very private, clean, spacious and relaxing. Whether it be the awesome kitchen, MASSIVE tub or fireplace next to the TV, we didn't want to leave. Jean was a great host and even came down to meet us and the dog. Very nice woman! 10/10, 5 Stars, 100% reccomend. Will be back.

Wonderful August Get-Away!

Beautiful lake view from lovely patio and lawn seating. The quiet outdoors provides perfect relaxation. Apartment is very clean and set up for easy cooking and grilling. Jean is a delightful, responsive and nonintrusive host. We look forward to returning! Jane and Chuck
