  • Welcome to your next home away from home here at Midnite Blue! Aptly named for its incredible night sky located in the Terry Peak subdivision, the cabin will provide you with a breath of fresh air. Surrounded by trees and providing a bit of seclusion, you'll enjoy the privacy of the cabin while still enjoying the proximity to skiing/snowboarding at Terry Peak, ATV trails, Spearfish Canyon and more! There's plenty of parking for trucks/trailers and only 15 minutes to Deadwood. You're also only one hour away from the sites like Mount Rushmore, Keystone, Custer State Park, Sylvan Lake, and more! Whether you're in the area to enjoy some trail riding, the ski slopes, or visiting the sites, a stay at Midnite Blue is a perfect place for some R&R after those daily adventures.

    The cabin has a great open concept and great for entertaining with its living, kitchen and dining area connected. The living area has large windows bringing in a lot of natural light while the gas fireplace sets the stage for a great night kicking your feet up. The walk out onto the covered deck from the dining area gives you a surrounding view and peaceful sounds of tree's blowing in the wind. The upper level has a nice loft with a seating area and TV, along with 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk out deck from the 3rd level as well! The lower level has a cozy living area along with a TV and walk out to the patio with a hot tub with a nice privacy fence built. There's also satellite TV and WIFI for staying connected on your trip!

Was a great space for our friend get together! Perfect location, views were great, maybe some blinds could be nice sometimes the sun got a little intense, but over all such a cute space!

Very nice cabin beautiful view.

This Cabin is very nice. Has everything we needed for quick ski trip. Large windows made for a beautiful view throughout thw home. The furnishings in the home were dusty. Kind of added to the rustic design; I suppose.The towels looked like on the towel racks but all had bleach spots on the underside. Whatever, it worked for us. I would come again.

Great House

This three-story house in the Black Hills is a fantastic space for families, offering ample room to spread out, but be mindful that children should navigate the stairs independently due to the layout. Its private setting is a bonus, providing a peaceful retreat even with neighboring homes. The house was clean and well-maintained during my stay; previous complaints about cleanliness might stem from misunderstandings around dishwashing responsibilities, as guests are expected to wash and put away dishes themselves rather than simply placing them in the dishwasher. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy the beauty of the area!

Dirty and dusty

This is a lovely property and the home itself was very nice. Cute decor and well appointed kitchen. The cleanliness was left wanting. The drawers and lazy susan were full of dirt and crumbs, dirty dishes were with clean ones in cabinets, dust on everything, hair in bathtub, refrigerator was filthy/sticky and we found prescription meds under a bed along with trash. While the setting was beautiful and the home nice, the filth ruined it for us. Unless they step up their game, DO NOT RECOMMEND. We left it cleaner than we found it, for sure!!

Great getaway for spring break skiing!

We rented this home for our family and grandparents for spring break. We came to enjoy Terry Pesk for some skiing and were not disappointed! The homeward well furnished and we had plenty of room with all the beds! The home was warm and inviting with great amenities. There were a few things that could have been improved upon…the directions to the home were not ideal. Neither google maps or Apple Maps brought us to the right place. We arrived in a snow storm and nearly got stuck trying to find the place. Thankfully a couple walking their dog helped us out. Second, there was no chemicals for the hot tub. As hot tub owners, we know the importance of regular chemical application to maintain proper ph balance and water quality. The hot tub water was very musty when we uncovered it and decided against using it. Finally, although we turned down the heat at night, the upper bedrooms were quite hot.

Easy to find, hassle-free checkin and checkout, close to food and shopping, well equipped kitchen. Our only disappointment was that they're building a new home on the other side of the driveway (so this will be a shared entrance) and the builders parked on our side and workers were actively working on the property during our stay. This wasn't communicated when we booked our stay and should have been.

Also, the proration of toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags for a stay with several people is skimpy. It is a great area to stay in.

Beautiful cabin

It was beautiful and a max of an hour from Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Rapid City, etc. Wasn't the cleanest, communication was slow, wifi was so slow it was only occasionally usable, but overall we enjoyed our time. The cabin had plenty of room for us to stretch out and the location was very pretty.

Did feel a little cookie-cutterish and like the cabin was built solely for rental purposes. Amazing view. Good location and relatively easy to find (though it’s technically the second turn off Eagle Trl, not the first as noted in the instructions). Peaceful and quiet surroundings. It was just our family of 4 that stayed, but had we had 12 people, which is max capacity, I think it would have felt pretty crowded, especially the dining area as there were only 8 spots and the hot tub was pretty small. We were also surprised though, since we were charged a cleaning fee, that it wasn’t very clean—used bandage on the rug, dirty fridge, hair in the hot tub, could see lots of dust on the floors, and a couple dead flies in the windows. If that was the end result of our cleaning company, they wouldn’t be employed very long. The uncleanliness certainly didn’t ruin our stay, but we expected more given what we paid for the reservation. All in all, it was a relaxing vacation and reminded us why we love the Hills so much.

Family Vacation

This property was beautiful and the view was wonderful! It was very spacious for our family. The property manager was helpful. They sent out a link to find the rental because it is a newer rental and the roads getting there are not paved yet. Overall I would definitely recommend this rental. The only downfall is there are not very many frying pans that can cook for a larger group.

The only negatives were that there was not great parking for multiple large trailers and our side by sides, and not a huge amount of cookware to cook for 8+ people ( we went out and bought a large pan), but this may be since it is so new. Overall it was a great trip!

This was a great landing spot for our family and friends after 3 full days at Terry Peak. The common areas are comfy and spacious and have beautiful views!

Terry Peak Family Ski Trip

Very nice property will rent it again if it is available next year. Only thing is need a four wheel drive vehicle in the winter months for location. We had one but saw other people staying in the area struggling to get around . Was a great trip.

Reviewer Comments: Overall our trip was great, the home is beautiful, decently clean, comfortable beds. It is a bit difficult to find at first but once you get there once it's easier. The only drawbacks we encountered were that the propane tank for the grill was empty, so we had to go buy one last minute and that there were no garbage cans on the property, but we understand why! Will definitely be booking again!
