Dax is a spa town, and the nearest beaches are:
- Hossegor/Capbreton Central Beach: surfing and lively atmosphere
- Messanges, Moliets-et-Maa, Soustons Beach: fine sand, nature
- Contis, Labenne, Bidart, Biarritz: further south
