Within the gates of Big Canoe, explore 20 miles of hiking trails, a Jeep trail, 3 waterfalls and 3 lakes with stunning views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Big Canoe also offers a 27-hole championship Mountain Course designed by Joe Lee, one of the finest Racquet Clubs in the Atlanta area with 10 courts to choose from, two pools, sandy beach areas, paddleboats, paddleboards, fishing, boat rentals, a 17,000 square foot fitness center, an indoor lap pool, hot tub, dry sauna, canoes, kayaks, beach volleyball, two playgrounds, bocce ball courts, picnic areas, the most beautiful rockslide and a restaurant all within the gates of this beautiful community. There are many options for daily adventures with fees paid directly to Big Canoe. These fees are not included in the rental of Laurel Woods. Guests should be aware that falsely claiming a pet as a service animal is a serious offense with steep consequences. As of late 2023, the fine for this violation has increased from $300 to $1,000. In addition to the financial penalty, offenders may also be required to complete 30 hours of community service. Importantly, this is not just a civil matter—impersonating a service animal is classified as a misdemeanor, meaning it carries a criminal charge. To avoid these penalties, please ensure that only properly trained and legally recognized service animals are represented as such.
