Enjoy the comfortable elegance of this historic beauty - with a large fenced-in backyard, garden & firepit. Lovingly restored in 2023, this property is perfect for a quiet family getaway or entertaning a group of friends! The main floor features an open kitchen, formal dining room, cozy living room with fireplace, 4-seasons room and a pub/game room! Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms - three with full en suite bathrooms! There is also an upstairs screened sunroom sleeping porch. Across from St. Paul Lutheran Church, the home is just one block from St. Ambrose University, The Outing Club and VanderVeer Park's iconic fountain and Conservatory. And it's just a short walk for groceries, pharmacy, coffee shops, restaurants and bakeries. Treat yourself to a stay at this one-of-a-kind property!

The place was amazing. It was fun to walk through the house and see all of the furnishings. It had everything you could ever need. This had to be one of the best places we have ever stayed at. The host is awesome. Always asking if we needed anything. I hope we can visit again. Do not hesitate to book this gem!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spotless and extremely well stocked. The first floor was a little warm but it was 96 degrees and too warm to enjoy the beautiful yard. We are hoping to be back. Thank you Chris for being so quick to respond.

We were in town for a family reunion. The Adler House had plenty of room for the 9 of us. It was such fun to stay in the historical home the furnishings were right out of the Roaring Twenties era, but with modern appliances, wi-fi, and air conditioning. Chris was wonderful to work with, and quickly responded to any questions we had. We highly recommend the Adler House to anyone staying in the Quad City area!

Weekend With Friends

Adler House was the perfect place for our weekend getaway with friends. With a large kitchen and multiple rooms for gathering, the four bedroom home allowed for both time together and quiet moments on our own. The neighborhood was perfect for long walks and there were several restaurants nearby. The communication with the owners was excellent and check in and check out were a breeze. If we are staying in the area again, Adler House will definitely be our first choice.

Great for family gatherings!

With 5 bedrooms (more if you count use of sun porch areas in warmer weather) and 3.5 baths this property is great for family gatherings! There are plenty of seating areas for people to gather or disperse. There is a large dining room that accommodated 8 of us for one meal. The kitchen is large enough for many to pitch in and has all the necessities for cooking and entertaining a crowd. We made all of our meals there! We arrived to find the lights on throughout and music playing—a very warm welcome!The beds were comfortable and the house was quiet. Van der Veer park was a short walk down the street. The house is old, historic, and charming! The owners have obviously been making improvements and continue to do so. Our only challenge was water pressure, but that is common in older houses and was brought to the owners’ attention with a possible solution. We would definitely return!

Take a step back in time and relax in this genteel, historic manor. Perfect for families and friends gathering for special occasions. Gracious, responsive hosts. Walking distance to a park, restaurants, and The Outing Club.

Quad Cities weekend

Our extended family of 8 really enjoyed our stay at the Adler House over Memorial Day weekend. It is a historic house recently updated so is very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Quad Cities Weekend

This is such a neat historic home with lots of room for the 8 of us to spread out and also be together around the table playing games. The weather didn't quite cooperate the night we were planning to have a fire, but there is a fire ring with plenty of wood available and lots of outdoor seating. The backyard is large and fenced, and we were glad to see the cornhole game (even though I am possibly the worst player ever). Communication was great! I still cannot believe how big the bedrooms are, and having so many bathrooms was definitely a plus. Also, one block away is the beautiful Vander Veer park with indoor conservatory. We had a great stay!!

Beautiful Home

This historical home was a great place to have a family gathering. The owner was extremely accommodating, from helping us get bedding for my elderly mother on the main floor to bringing over extra cooking appliances for Thanksgiving dinner! When there was a problem with plumbing, he was there asap to fix it. The house is close to a beautiful park and grocery store which made it very convenient. The house itself is full of beautiful antique furniture and easily accommodated our large Group. We would def stay here again!

Amazing and comfortable stay

Family members from out-of-state totally enjoyed the comforts of home at Chris’ place for family wedding reception. Fire pit was a hit also. This unique home was so enjoyable and comfortable. Such a joy to stay here. This is THE place to stay in the Quad Cities.

Bill Bell Heritage & Jazz Festival!

Absolutely amazing home. We all had a fabulous time. Tremendous space; great yard with fire pit! We will be rebooking this location again. I would highly recommend it!

Chris and Sue were extraordinary! The home was immaculate and even more than we expected. Our hosts were accommodating and an absolute joy to be around when we had the opportunity to see them. My entire group looks forward to the chance to spend more time in the area when we can enjoy the home and get to know our hosts better when we aren't working.

More Than I Expected!

The pictures don't do this property justice! It was more than anyone in my group expected!! The kids kept calling it "The Mansion". Great location as well! We were only minutes from everything we did and walking distance to VanderVeer Park. I would not only recommend to my friends, I will also check this first when I return to the area!!

Great experience with a great host!

The house was beautiful from the moment we arrived. It's spacious and allowed us the ability to all be together, but also ample space to allow us introverts to go our separate ways, when desired. It was clean and as described. Chris was attentive to our requests and was a great host. Could not have asked for a better weekend!
