We picked Dusit Thani because it’s the latest hotel in Davao City. We stayed for a night Booking thru hotels.com which I’ve been using for over 10yrs now. I don’t have any issues at all whether I pay in advance or pay at the hotel.
In this booking, I received a confirmation # from hotels.com and Dusit sent me an email as well - they are excited to have me, which is a common email sent out by Dusit.
When we arrived at the hotel, I mentioned my name and showed my reservation# to the reception. I was told that my reservation was cancelled.
My first question was, how could it be when I received a series of emails with confirmation #, and emails from Dusit that my room was confirmed. We are not from Davao, and tired from our travels, I insisted for my reservation.
Dusit team said that Hotels.com cancelled my reservation. After showing all the confirmation # and emails of my booking. There’s no way I will leave Dusit without a Rm. Whether the mistake was coming from Hotels.com or Dusit, we need to have a Rm.
With the effort of the ladies at the reception, we finally got a Rm.
King size bed, with balcony includes breakfast. It was not a good view but acceptable.
Our stay turned out to be good. We did not use any of the amenities, maybe on our next stay.
Room size okay, comfortable bed, snacks and mini bar available. Coffee maker and fridge, which I both used. Shower - water pressure was excellent.
Most if all, staff were excellent!
Yes, I will stay again.
