"The property was nicely finished and whilst small, we knew that and it was perfect for our family of 3. The living and kitchen area is one space but the high ceiling helps give it a sense of size. The area the cottage is located in, the grounds of Middlethorpe Manor and hotel are nice too. The cleaners were still there when we arrived 45 minutes after our started arrival time. Luckily they were nearly finished so we didn't have to wait long. But whilst the property seemed superficially clean,...

"Booked Brook Hall for a stag weekend of 12 guys, which Edward was happy to accommodate. It was a fantastic base while we spent most of our time out and about in York (20 - 30 minutes away) and Leeds (30 - 40 minutes away). Thanks for the recommendation of Dougies taxis as well, this was really helpful and they were great with really friendly drivers. Lovely location and house, particularly the garden. Perhaps even better if there were more showers (only 2) but this did not detract from the...

"Very well maintained and clean property. Had everything we needed and a beautiful large garden to enjoy in the sunshine. Easy walk into the centre of York with the option of buses or taxis at very reasonable prices if you choose to use them. We would stay there again. The drive took one car but if you had another there was plenty of parking spaces on the road."
