"Communication with host in advance was horrible. VRBO had to get involved. Only received the most basic check in info at 2:45pm on day of check in and only because I kept reaching out. When we arrived the temp was above 80 and after 15 min of trying was not changing. There were dead bugs on 2 of the bath towels and on kitchen counter, it was dirty and smelled of smoke. We contacted VRBO and after the ring around we were able to be transferred to a new place. Do not recommend!!!"

"Property not as described. 2 story home with no AC on second floor and turning on the ac “full blast” does not resolve the issue. Broken brick and glass columns entrance way, grass knee high with glass in the yard, neighborhood homes with trash and broken down cars, backyard has building/shed with broken door and windows, doorways and windows with wooden shims/framing that are wet inside leading to cracks to see through to outside. Window seals are dirty and wet inside, multiple level of sub...

"The cottage has been totally redone. Modern clean looking. It has the comforts of home. Our host responded promptly to out inquires. It was a much better choice than a hotel for our football weekend. Additionally it was a quick ride to the Capstone parking deck for the game. I would stay here again. "

"Cute home with lots of charm close to the university, but with a feeling of rural. Host was very easy to work with and responsive. Plenty of room, thoughtful touches throughout- homey feel. Love a good historical home! Would rent the property again for sure. "

"We had a great stay in Tuscaloosa. We enjoyed having a full house to share with our kids and their grandparents. It was an older home but offered everything we needed including a fenced in backyard, two bathrooms and full kitchen. We would stay again. "

"Great spot to get together with friends for a football weekend. Outdoor carport with couch, grill, big screen TV was a great place to hang out. Three bathrooms with showers was key with everyone getting ready to go out at the same time! The snappy decor added a bit of fun, and the poker table spurred some late night camaraderie. The place was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen fully decked out. Thank you so much! PS - you could ask the Tide not to steamroll us the next time…. ;)"

"This is a great place for anyone looking for a quiet and simple getaway. The cabin itself is very nice and was meticulously clean when we arrived. The location is great as you get the benefit of seclusion without being too remote. It close to town which was convenient for shopping and dining. The hosts were beyond accommodating and were readily available for questions. I would consider staying here again and will recommend to others!"

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay on the property. We rented the property to celebrate my daughter's December graduation. This was my first experience renting a VRBO property, and I had a very positive experience. The rental team was very responsive to my questions. We had 10 total guests. The property was able to provide adequate accommodations for everyone. We had eight people sleeping on the first floor and two sleeping on the second floor. "The thermostat did not allow us to drop temp lower than 74 degrees. We finally had the owner unlock the thermostat so we could drop it lower. We were unable to take a hot shower since tho hot water in the shower was broken. They did not have other basic essentials that most other places we stayed have. "
