"Loved this cottage for its beautiful yard (esp. hydrangeas and field), glorious views from the master bedroom and proximity to the West Quoddy State Park. The trails at Quoddy were superb and the striped lighthouse was a bonus (go for a sunset!). Campobello Island in Canada is nearby. A 30-minute-ish tour of FDR’s summer cottage on the island was worthwhile. (No entry fees. Bring your passport.) Watch “Sunrise at Campobello” DVD at the cottage before going. It tells the story of Franklin D....

"We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location."

"We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning."

"This place was perfect. That porch over looking the lake and the stars. Lots of wildlife to see. The house is perfect, stocked with all the essentials and more then I’ve ever had in a vrbo stay. The cabin is far enough away to be quiet, but close to all the essentials. I’ve been to Machias area a million times, this was the best visit yet. I’ve already booked my week for next year. Next year Im hoping to see a moose."

"The house is a Ranch with numerous doors and windows allowing access to the outdoors from every point. An enclosed, screened in sun room on the main level & a spacious lower-level deck allow for great views, catching some rays and an evening cocktail. There is also an electric winch for launching & retrieving kayaks and canoes.For anyone who is mobility impaired, the house is easily accessed by an outside ramp. The main floor bedroom & handicap shower provide great space & is directly accessible...

"Our favorite place to stay in Maine! Family friendly, easy check in, attentive host, stunning views, comfortable beds, thoughtful accomodations. We love the Maine themed books and kids toys. Great location near a campground - we walked out to the point each night to collect shells and enjoy the sunset. Close enough to Jonesport but far enough away to feel secluded. We enjoyed the fire pit several times as well. We love it here! "
