Villa Norma - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 5
Villa Norma is a modern, spacious home located close to the beach in western Sicily. This villa is near to the coast, a nature reserve and several villages and towns and serves as a great base for holidaying on the island of Sicily.
After a lazy day at the beach or a busy day exploring ancient ruins, Villa Norma is the ideal home to come back to and unwind. This three-bedroom house is perfect for a family holiday and offers lots of space inside and out. The stunning pool is a great feature and is bound to be a hit with everyone in your party. The rest of the garden is filled with spaces for lounging or eating al-fresco and you will even find an outdoor kitchen on the roof! When you are retiring to the house for the evening, the living room is a great space to watch a film together before sleeping in one of the three double bedrooms.
Villa Norma is ideally situated between the notable towns of Trapani and San Vito Lo Capo. In addition to these larger towns, there are plenty of charming villages and towns nearby, some within walking distance of the villa. Custonaci is just a 5-minute drive away from the villa and has incredible cave systems and a wealth of archaeological sites from the Palaeolithic period to visit on top of the usual pretty squares, cafes and shops.
In the other direction, the village of Cornino is located on the seafront a few kilometres from the villa. Here you will find a stunning beach with clear blue water against a backdrop of dramatic cliffs; the area also has shops and eateries for your use. A few kilometres further along the coast, you will find the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve which is a lovely place to visit for a stroll or a picnic out in the natural environment. The reserve has beautiful scenery and unique Mediterranean planting to appreciate on a walk and also contains remains of prehistoric settlements and artefacts.
When you wish to explore more of Sicily you are well-placed to do so - the town of San Vito Lo Capo, for example, is not far away. This town is well-known for its gorgeous beach which has won the blue flag award on many occasions. The beach sits at the bottom of Monte Monaco and offers an expanse of white sand to sunbathe on. If you want to get out into the clear sea, then this beach offers snorkelling opportunities and calm water for swimming. There are also many restaurants and food stalls along the beachfront so, you can spend a whole day in the vicinity of the beach with ease. The thriving capital of the island, Palermo is a great place to visit too and is around a 90-minute drive from the villa.
