"Our family has stayed at many locations and cabins but this is by far the very best. Located 20 minutes from Custer, this property is on 160 acres of highly maintained and manicured property between two mountains. This property is tucked away on a road that has little to no traffic, a well maintained dirt/gravel road that is better than some highways. "Our family of 6 found this place be excellent! We were so busy out and about most days, this cabin offered a great place to relax in the evenings. One day it was rainy, but that was OK as that was some nice "cabin time" too! The property is clean and well maintained, and the owners were very pleasant to communicate with. The location is a little ways out of the hustle and bustle, and that was so nice for having peace and quiet in the middle of a forest meadow."

"This was my first VRBO booking so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Everything went smoothly from booking to check in. Every time I messaged Archie the host he responded in a timely manner. Very quiet setting and if you’re a golfer like me it’s perfect for golfing the course in Custer as it’s literally a driver away from the cabin. I would definitely stay here again. "

"We used Custer as our "hub" for traveling South Dakota sights. This stay was perfect! We had plenty of room for two parents and two kids. (Kids were happy not to share a bed--one took the futon, one took the pullout couch). They loved having the yard out from to swing and play tetherball. Crystal was super responsive and helpful with anything we needed. She also set us up with a binder of restaurant suggestions that made dining easy. Our experience was terrific!"

"Lovely place to come back to after hiking, we didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit but were appreciative of the wood we could use if we did! It was very clean and tidy, I enjoyed coming back and seeing the resident kitty prowling around. I loved how it was close to downtown Custer but not right in the middle of it! I would stay here again if I find myself wanting to take another trip to Black Hills. "
