My husband and I were heading back up north to PA from visiting friends in Chattanooga area and purposely wanted to visit the Cumberland Gap to hike the trails. This rental house was perfect and we absolutely loved this house. It reminds us of my husband's Granny's place built in 1930. The town is more than we expected, especially when the next morning was an Arts and Wine festival right on Main Street. So much to do here in the area that my husband wants to come back longer than a night. We hope this rental will be available again. :)

Our family has stayed at this property several times in the past three years and each time has been an enjoyable experience. The property is ideally located, nicely appointed and well maintained. We would highly recommend it for any stay in the area of Cumberland Gap.

Senior Day at LMU
Hello We had a wonderful stay here. It is a perfect location. House was very charming. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch. We are returning here for LMU graduation and can't wait!!

Valentines Getaway
Dropped in for the night to enjoy a quick Valentine’s getaway. Property was exactly as described! Excellent location in the heart of town. Close to great eats and coffee shop. Very clean, well maintained home with vintage decorations, pictures/LMU memorabilia, and a homey, comfortable feel. Wi-Fi isn’t the fastest if you need to do some WFH, but it did the job. Would definitely stay again to enjoy some more time in the Gap!

Like a Lovely Step Back in Time
Words cannot express what a lovely time we had in the quaint, old mountain village of Cumberland Gap. The historic house was like a step back in time with cozy, comfortable antique furniture and original metal cabinets. It was FABULOUS! My 90 year old father was in HEAVEN reading the historic books and looking through old LMU yearbooks dating back to the 1920’s. Tony, our host, was AMAZING! He was so helpful and quick to respond to any questions. The special touches of bottled waters and fresh flowers were just icing on the cake. Located on the main street in the middle of the Gap, there were restaurants and old time shops a stone’s throw away. We loved it so much we’ve booked it for our next two trips out to visit our daughter in PA school at LMU. Thank you, Tony, for sharing your lovely home with us!

A Little Time in the Gap
We stayed at the Estep house and loved it! A quaint old house. We attended the Cumberland Gap Ghost tour. Pam was informative and fun👻 Can’t wait to go back! Great little town!

Nice Location and View
The house is cute and perfect location this not our first time in cumberland gap we tried VRBO for first time and we found this house, we found it’s not that clean we found the corners and underneath the furnitures, tables and floor mats ate dusty toilet bowl is not clean, I can suggest to remove some throw pillows and couch so that there’s enough space in the room..Overall we like the place

Perfect small-town home
We came to stay at Cumberland Gap for graduation weekend at LMU, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect weekend vacation for our family! The house is lovely, and has the most amazing porch for sitting and relaxing. We loved that we could walk anywhere we needed to go in the town, including the coffee shop, and even a little hike! The host is friendly, and responds quickly, and was very helpful throughout our stay! Definitely recommend!

Tiny Town
Felt like we had stepped back in time, very interesting, historical home in a peaceful, little town. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and the front sunroom the most. We enjoyed being able to walk to the shops and restaurants. This area has always been a favorite of ours.

Beautiful and Comfortable
We loved this space. We love this little town. Very comfortable with well working WiFi. (I needed to work also while there ). The place is beautifully de orated to the time periods of the home. Loved looking at all of the special touches throughout. They though of little things including throws for sitting on the porches in chilly weather. Can’t wait to return!!

Family get away
We absolutely loved the home, our favorite spot was the front porch. Tony our host was very welcoming friendly. He welcomed us with fresh flowers and a big bowel of Hershey kisses.

The lawn, bushes and ornamental plantings were in bad need of maintence. We could not enjoy the backyard view due to overgrowth and biting insects. Access to the home and bathroom was difficult for my disabled sister.

Great Stay for a Short Stop
My family and I spent a night at this property on a road trip. The location was wonderful! Right in the heart of Cumberland Gap, next too the coffee house and restaurants, hiking, bike paths, and more. The house was big enough to accommodate my spouse, our two kids, and my parents comfortably. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the front porch in the morning and shopping at the art store across the street. The furnishings (I’m mostly talking about beds here) are rather old, so although fascinating, were not the most comfortable. Just keep that in mind, it may not be for everyone. We would stay again!

Great location, cute vintage house
Very cute home, tidy and well stocked. Location couldn't be better, right in the midst of downtown Cumberland Gap. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our children, and the proximity to the University made it a perfect location for our needs. Would recommend it to anyone traveling to the area!

Beautiful home in Great location!
Our visit to Cumberland Gap was a step into history. The beautiful historical home is located in an idyllic village. Restaurants, national park and quant coffee shop is a short stroll from the front door. We hope to visit again during our next trip through the Gap.

History
My goal was to provide a fun experience for my daughter while learning about the Cumberland Gap and Wilderness Road. The house was the perfect setting and allowing us to go back in time with 21st century amenities. Loved looking at the books in the house. Would love to come back for another visit.

This home was perfect for an LMU graduation! The owner was flexible, easy to communicate with, and accommodating. The house was clean and great for entertaining. The location was close to hikes, restaurant, and LMU. We look forward to renting this house again!

Perfect Getaway
This property is located in a picture perfect small mountain town, with stunning views in every direction. The house is clean, well apportioned, and very comfortable. The owner is top rate, he made everything about the stay wonderful. The house was ready for us upon arrival, we had everything we needed, and he included lots of extra touches like fresh flowers in each room. I have stayed in a lot of rentals and vacation properties and have not had a better host. He was also a great communicator. If you are looking to stay in the Cumberland Gap area or visiting Lincoln Memorial University, this is the place to stay. Another added bonus is that you can take a hike right from the house that leads you to the three corners of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia!

Beautiful mid-century time capsule in the heart of the Gap
Tony's place is perfect! The location can't be beat. In the front yard, you have Angelos and the rest of town. In the back and side yard, you have the beautiful mountains. The porch is great for hanging, the kitchen was a delight, it was like traveling back in time. that space is so well preserved. The furniture was incredible, I wanted to buy all of it from them. Definitely a fun stay. We would 100% come back.
