Our 1937 Cabin located near Lake Glenville has been completely renovated top to bottom with no cost spared in furnishings. Everything new!!! Very private on 50 acre estate and the only rental on our property with great access to Lake Glenville, Cashiers and Highlands. Level entry, no steps!!! Gorgeous 1 Bedroom with a new queen bed, luxury linens, Lexington nightstand, small antique round side table, bench, small custom closet and Regina Andrew lighting, 1 Bath with Ronbow vanity, slate tiles on floor, tiled shower with glass door and a fully stocked kitchen. Gray custom kitchen cabinets and large island with microwave and granite countertops, glass top stove with double ovens and counterdepth fridge with bottom freezer drawer. Please note there is NO DISHWASHER or garbage disposal.

The washer and dryer is located in the pantry area. There is wood flooring throughout the cabin except bathroomā€™s slate tile. 65ā€ Sony new smart TV mounted in living area above Restoration Hardware console. Mounted TV pulls out and swivels for best viewing. Direct TV , Netflix set up, Wi-Fi and Landline are included.

Two covered porches with large screened porch in back, all furnished with outdoor seating, tables, cushions and rocking chairs. Porches and walkway have red oak flooring. Private driveway and close, level parking . The fire pit area has a stone bench and two black Adirondack chairs with a custom firewood structure, plenty of firewood, kindling and starters. The 1937 Cabin has an automated full house generator. Elevation 3900! There is a hike on the property that is offered to our two guests staying at the cabin. It is 1/2 mile uphill the whole way and there is 300 feet that would be considered a strenuous hike with the most gorgeous views! Elevation 4300! We have planted 4000 rhododendrons, mostly purple on the property and they are planted all the way to the top!


We are located near the northwest side of Lake Glenville, 2.8 miles from public Lake Glenville boat ramps, 3 miles to Pines Recreation Area with beach and picnic area overlooking Lake Glenville, 8.3 miles to Cashiers and 14 miles to Highlands.

Many nearby hikes in the area with Yellow Mountain, High Falls and Whiteside Mountain being very popular. Lots of info in the cabin welcome guide about hikes, waterfalls and restaurants.

$95 pet fee, two dogs max 20 lbs each or one dog max 40 lbs

Fabulous home!!!

Peaceful weekend away

We wanted someplace that was remote, offered outdoor space, had a full equipped kitchen for cooking meals. We were so surprised by all the extra touches that Selina and John added to this property. Everything you needed to have a bonfire, including smores supplies, variety of drinks in the fridge, super comfy bed, direct TV, not to mention the amazing hike on the property. The property was immaculate, super clean, with very nice furnishings. It was truly the most perfect getaway for relaxation.

The cabin was immaculate and well appointed with top notch furnishings. Everything you need for a home away from home getaway is supplied. Property and grounds were breathtaking. I didnā€™t want to leave. The hike to the top of the mountain is well worth it. The view is spectacular! Had s'mores at the fire pit and grilled out each night. Rented a boat on the lake and saw all the waterfalls.We walked the 3.5 mile loop recommend in the welcome book and enjoyed it so much!! This is the best VRBO weā€™ve rented and we will return.Thanks for a memorable experience!!

Oh my! The cabin is perfect! It has a well equipped kitchen, fine linens and extra amenities. Very comfortable and super clean, it surpassed expectations in all respects. Beautiful mountain setting. Excellent communication with Selina. Loved my stay! Highly recommend!

Special Place

Selina was a great communicator who gave great directions and awesome recommendations. The entire property is even better in person than it looks like online. The cabin is well decorated and super cozy. Unfortunately we did not get to use the fire pit, but it was adorable. Selina had even put fatwood and a lighter in a bucket next to the firewood. She had also supplied smore items and little snacks. The hike on the property is steep, but worth the view at the top! Selina's attention to detail was so appreciated, She literally thoght of everything you might need! while at their cabin. The location is also convenient between both Highlands and Cashiers. You won't regret your stay here!

Incredible location. Close enough to be convenient to everything yet remote enough to be secluded. Perfect accommodations for the two of us. Everything that we could think of was provided on site by the owners. Canā€™t wait to have an excuse to stay again.

Perfect cabin getaway!

This cabin was wonderful! Great hike on property to top of mountain with beautiful hidden gazebo and fire pit area, but a climb! Place was fully equipped for cooking with little extra snacks and staples to welcome you. Great firepit out back and close to many waterfalls, hikes and of course Highlands. A gem of a place!

Quick getaway

Loved the house and all the little extra amenities added to make us feel like special guests! All the decor was beautiful. Hike on property was nice, enjoyed sā€™mores at the fire pit. It is far from highlands but that was noted when I booked. Only complaint would be us Floridians arenā€™t experienced on these snaky roads as everyone passed us by! lol wonderful place to enjoy a weekend getaway! Thanks for sharing!

This place is absolutely spectacular. The pictures donā€™t do it any justice. Super clean inside and out. Itā€™s the perfect place to stay for a getaway. If I could rate it higher I would. The host was super helpful and very easy to communicate with. We will definitely be making this our regular place to stay.

I wish I could keep it secret

This is one of those places I would selfishly like to keep secret but that would be unfair. This is a lovely little cottage. The hosts are very welcoming. Feels wonderful from the second you walk in the door. Selina does an excellent job of sharing information about the surrounding area. I really wish I could have enjoyed the cute screened porch, but an early cold snap prevented that. But we were nice and snug inside.

We really needed to unplug and this was the place! The home and property are absolutely beautiful. Selina & John have definitely gone the extra mile to make their guests very comfortable. Super close proximity to the lake - and just a short drive into Cashiers. Morning coffee on the screened in porch was Heaven! We enjoyed a camp fire on our last night, and wished we had done it every night - where can you be outside for a couple hours from twilight to well past dark, where you aren't chewed up by mosquitos, or other no-see-ums? We never got bit once in over 2 hours! The hike up the mountain was a workout, but very much worth it - fantastic views and plenty of space to enjoy a toast to celebrate the accomplishment. I can imagine how breathtaking the views must be in the fall. Thank you for a refreshing week!

Beautiful home and amazing attention to detail

Stop your search, you found the perfect spot. As a host myself I can tell when someone is doing it just as a business or because it's their passion. This home is clearly a passion project. Incredible quality (front gate towels, snacks and drinks and fully stocked kitchen for cooking) this is the perfect getaway. If you stay here you won't regret it.

Fantastic Cabin in the Mountains

We booked this property to celebrate a significant birthday and could not have chosen a more perfect spot. This cabin is well appointed and thoughtfully designed. It was the best decision to book this property, from the cozy kitchen and living space to the bedroom and screened porch. The firepit was well stocked with wood. If you do the hike, itā€™s steep but worth it. A great way to get your exercise in! Thanks Selina for making our stay memorable.
