"I visited in the off-season, but being in a hotel on the water was fantastic. I caught two beautiful sunsets the weekend I was there, and from the back parking lot of the hotel, you can walk to the embankment of yard where it meets the Bogue Sound. My hotel room was great; breakfast was good. My only minor issue is that the pillows were not as solid as some others I've slept on at Hilton/Hampton hotels, but that's an easy fix: bring your own pillows. I shouldn't have assumed they'd be the same...

"Went on a quick beach trip with my 10 yo son and we had absolutely the best time! The room was clean and I love that the floor is not carpet! The balcony was great for our quick breakfast and coffee in front of the ocean, The staff were very kind and smiley. We have not used the pool but the hot tub was a huge hit!
