"Unfortunately, my stay was disappointing. The room was extremely hot and stuffy. While a fan had been provided, there was no air conditioning and the fan did little to improve the lack of ventilation. The room also did not appear to have been cleaned to a particularly high standard. "I would say it’s a steady 3 star. It’s not really geared to be a hotel, room facilities very basic although clean. Tv signal was poor even on BBC1. Breakfast was a free continental which didn’t even have fresh pastries. It’s ok but for the money I paid I expected better. There was a wedding on Saturday night which was a bit chaotic but thankfully it’s away from the rooms so wasn’t too loud. Probably wouldn’t return unfortunately."

"This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."
