"An unexpected upgrade to a premier room was the perfect end to my holiday!
The room was outstandingly clean, spacious and a lovely comfy bed.
All the staff were friendly & very helpful.
Excellent location enabling easy exit on & to the A1 👍"

"I love this little gem of a pub and have been staying here for at least the past 15 years whenever I am in the area for regular work. Andy and Adele make a great team with delicious food, a good variety of beers, wines, cocktails etc and a lovely fire to keep us all cosy and warm, oh and the fish pie was really delicious! 😋"

"I thought the breakfast was fine. Lots of options for a full or light meal. I had fruit & porridge which was delicious. Husband said his fruit, yogurt and toast was fine. Choices of teas, coffees etc. Others appeared to be enjoying theirs as well. Eating and food area spotless as was the hotel overall. We have not stayed there before but will do so next time we travel. It was worth the money."
