"My stay at the Mercure Hotel in Pembury was okay. My room was on the ground floor and adequate. The bathroom was very clean and cleaned for the three days that I stayed there. The bed was made and the room was clean daily and I have no complaints about it. The room was adequate for my needs.. The only slight grumble I have is that I did not find the staff very friendly. "The location was very peaceful but close to many beautiful places National Trust etc. The bedroom was comfortably furnished with an excellent walk in shower. Rooms not been cleaned for a long while 1st room covered in dust and bathroom stinking of sewers. 2nd room covered in dust, Dried blood on bed cover and pillow cases, tiles falling off walls in bathroom. "The hotel was disappointing, it is in need of updating. Our room was very old fashioned and the bathroom felt unclean .On one of the hottest days of the year there wasnt even a fan to help cope with the heat. On the positive side, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice but I dont think we would chose to stay here again ."
