"Loved the ambience of this house filled with so many period features. Even better were our hosts David and Lindy who went out of their way to obtain help for me when I fell ill during the night and required hospitalization. The following day, David drove my partner to the hospital to pick me up. A stay at The Laurels is like visiting with old friends, sitting in the living room with other guests of an evening with a glass of wine and a selection of snacks. Breakfast could not have been better....

"It’s a nice property with restaurant/bar. We were a group of four adults. Our room was spacious, however the TV was missing from the wall in the bedroom, the fridge was broken and there were plates/glasses etc for only three people when we booked for four. There was plenty of undercover security parking and the staff were friendly."

"Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our cabin was clean, compact and comfy. The park is extremely well maintained and is very clean and a short walk to shops with the beach a few minutes walk. Originally booked for one night but our cabin was available for us to book for a second night. There is also a lovely cafe near the entrance to the park.. enjoyed a very nice breakfast "

"The Coniston Hotel is good value for what it provides and is close to Wollongong. Room was clean; bed comfy. Just be aware they are currently undergoing renovation to the downstairs pub during the week so you may experience noise after 7am. We would stay again. "

"A pleasant surprise to find somewhere close to all of Wollongong and south to kiama (short drive either way), that was peaceful and quiet at a reasonable rate at Easter time. The on-site restaurant was very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic, as were our host. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times, my wife and I will be staying when in the area again, thanks for an enjoyable stay - we look forward to staying again in the future 👍👍"

"We stayed in the one bedroom executive unit in late March from Monday to Thursday in room 201. * Location is excellent, close to the train station and restaurants, easily walkable to blowhole and surf beach * Secure parking with keycard access, there are two levels and there was no shortage on weekdays * The suite itself was clean, but was more like an apartment with vinyl floors. "We booked 5 rooms for a family getaway for the weekend. The rooms were comfortable enough. However TVs did not work in 4 of the rooms. We had a pleasant saturday afternoon doing the wine tasting at the Cellar Door. The restaurant was not opened for breakfast. All in all, a nice weekend."
