I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites in Cromwell, Connecticut, for three days and had a pleasant experience. The staff was very attentive and accommodating, making sure all my needs were met promptly. The rooms were spacious and well-designed, providing plenty of room to relax. While they were a bit dusty, it didn't detract much from the overall comfort. I appreciated the hotel's convenient location and the friendly atmosphere. Overall, it was a good stay and I would consider returning.

Disappointed Stay
This was my third time stay in this hotel. I used to like it a lot and highly recommend to my friends. And I also invited my friends to choose this hotel and stary with us. But I was disappointed with stay this time. This hotel is much busier and crowded than before, the room is not as clean as before. Coffee was run out at 8:15 am, barely no breakfast left at that time. And I was also surprised found a $3 charge for the parking, the front desk didn't tell me when I checked in.

I always love staying here, the rooms are immaculate and the staff is very nice and professional. My only complaint was that the shower head was finicky and didn't have a normal setting, only hard jets or a wonky spray. But that didn't bother me — I love this hotel.

It was winter so have no opinion of property. Driveway was cleat. Only suggestion would be to have cups in bathroom. Overall found the hotel to be a very good value for price.

Pool
It was great. The hotel staff were very friendly and the building was clean. I wish there was more focus.on keeping the pool area tidy as that is a reason a lot of families come. There was a mess left in the pool area at night and it was disappointing to see it in the aame condition the next morning. There was food remnants and garbage surrounding the pool, no towels amd a lot of hairballs floating around. We skipped we swimming that morning. Also, perhaps a drain aeou d the pool floor as it was a large puddle all aeound the room.

It's clean and looks new, but there are a number of things that don't work. Multiple outlets did not work (I woke up and my phone did not charge overnight); the shower curtain was lousy and water gets all over the floor (we asked them to replace it but they didn't), and several fixtures seemed about to fall off the wall. The lighting in the room was almost non-existent, so it was constantly dark. And during a social hour in the lobby, the bartender was terrible. She didn't seem at all bothered by the long line building up.

So close to great, but not quite
The hotel was conveniently located, and easy to find. Overall a very pleasant experience, with a significant exception. We discovered, when getting ready in the morning, that the tub/shower wasn't draining properly. We called down to the Front Desk, and we're told that nothing could be until maintenance arrived at 9am. Unfortunately, this was after our necessary departure time, so we were all forced to shower standing in several inches of water. An unpleasant experience at best.

Starting to look a little shabby
4th or 5th visit to this particular hotel. It only opened a couple years ago and already is looking a bit run down. The thermostat control did not work. I had to use the one on the AC unit itself. That was hard to reach and read since it is underneath the bench holding out suit cases. The hassock/ottoman was missing (they got us a replacement). The lav basin had no pop-up stopper, just the drain hole. The shower ceiling was crumbling and peeling. Shabby.

Not your typical Marriott
The whole hotel, reeked of marijuana to the point of nausea & i ended up with a headache From Friday to Tues. When i complained, they said they were aware of it, but there was nothing they can do, so they came & sprayed the hallway with something on the fabreez line. We couldn't have our grandchildren stay with us because i was too afraid of exposing them.To each his own but it is a non smoking Hotel. Unless you get up & 8 am there wasn't ever any breakfast left after 8:30. Would not recommend for family. I can't believe the standard for a Marriott. You can complain till the cows come home & they don't do anything for you. Not even a bottle of water. We paid 3.42 for an 8 oz bottle of water right after we expressed our concern.

Took me half an hour to figure out why the TV wasn’t working. Had to reset the TV and Cable box. Not my job. Otherwise a nice modern and clean place to stay.

Water heater down, no full disclosure
Seemed like a very nice property but we canceled at the front desk because the water heater went out for the entire hotel. That happens, I guess. But they weren’t going to tell me when I was checking in - luckily, I overheard the person in front of me complaining. I don’t when they were planning to tell me. Then they said they were trying to call to inform us of the issue beforehand. No they didn’t. Stayed somewhere else. Ugh.
