The Glacier Lily Penthouse at Academy Place

Glacier Lily at Academy Place is a truly unique place to stay in downtown Crested Butte. The location is exquisite and a short walk to nearly anything you could need, including Elk Avenue, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and just across the street from the Center for the Arts!

It is the penthouse unit in our townhome building here at Academy Place, meaning that the primary living space is on the top floor of the building – what is considered the rooftop level for other units. Glacier Lily boasts incredible views of Mt. Crested Butte and the mountains overall from large windows in the living/dining room, with the same views from the kitchen and two of the bedrooms. The top floor includes a luxury living room with a large dining table and powder room, an expansive kitchen with a large island that hosts the sink, the primary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and the queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The glass, foldable patio door opens to the private rooftop patio with exquisite views, outside furniture, a hot tub, and a grill. An elevator provides access to each floor from the private entrances from either the front of the building or the covered garage.

The entry floor consists of only the two private entrances and the elevator, with steps immediately leading to the second floor. The second floor contains a large king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and the washer/dryer. The top floor is the main living space, as stated above. The primary bathroom has a large soaking tub, as well as a steam shower for maximum comfort.

Overall, the penthouse is the pinnacle of the Academy Place experience, an already incredible place to stay. Glacier Lily provides ample space and comfort, while also boasting the most expansive views of the surrounding mountains on the property. With its three bedrooms it can sleep up to six people, ideal for couples or families who don’t want twin beds. Glacier Lily comes highly recommended, and is many returning guest’s favorite place to stay.
