"The 2 course breakfast was great. I had a breath taking view of the lake from different points in the house which was exactly what I wanted. The host was also great and very welcoming. "Location is ideal for canyon lake. I had trouble with the lock when I first arrived and the owner was reachable and helpful. Unfortunately the room was less than ideal and did not look like the pictures on expedia. It smelled moldy and musty, the shower had significant amounts of mildew/mold. As a solo woman traveler I would have appreciated a more secure room. The owner has access to the room and there is no internal lock to feel more secure. "Our stay was a deluxe cabin. Check in was easy and is all online. There isn’t an office or staff on site. The grounds are peaceful and each unit has its own little spot. The cabin was in great condition, was very clean, and had everything we needed, including some kitchen amenities that made the room more enjoyable. "Be prepared: sauna doesn’t work, loud music played at pool until 8pm and heard in our room, room a little larger than bed-no chairs, WiFi barely functional, cell service 1 bar, contactless completely-no staff apparent."
