Smith Lake Glamping - ToNoMo Vintage Airstream

ToNoMo is a one-of-a-kind Smith Lake retreat built around a refurbished vintage Airstream, with its own private screened outdoor living space and easy access to the lake.



ToNoMo sleeps up to 3, with two adult-sized bunk beds plus a futon sofa available as an optional third sleeping space. The Airstream also has rooftop air conditioning and plenty of vintage character. Inside, you’ll find a surprisingly functional kitchen featuring a stainless steel refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, double sink, dishes, and Keurig coffeemaker. The bathroom includes a shower/tub, and just outside is a private open-air shower for a little extra camp-style fun.



Much of the experience happens outdoors. Relax on your private covered and screened porch with a ceiling fan, TV, sofa, chairs, tables, and peaceful views into the surrounding woods and creek. The property also includes a fire pit, charcoal grill, and a fenced yard for small dogs ($50 pet fee).



Guests enjoy complimentary use of fishing gear, floats, kayaks, and paddleboards, along with access to the property’s large boat dock on Rock Creek. Bring your own boat or jet ski — slips are available, and there is parking for cars, trucks, and boat trailers.



Shared amenities include a lakeside gazebo with gas and charcoal grills and a hot tub on an outdoor deck overlooking the water.



ToNoMo is located on Rock Creek at Lewis Smith Lake near Crane Hill, Alabama. Smith Lake is known for its deep, clear water, rocky shoreline, boating, fishing, and beautiful natural setting near Bankhead National Forest and the Sipsey Wilderness.

Jim and Alex, who spent 15 years traveling and staying in unique lodgings around the world, sought the perfect location for their own lakeside retreat. After an extensive search, they chose Smith Lake for its pristine waters, stunning rock shoreline, and inviting atmosphere. They’ve enhanced the property with stylish Airstreams, a private boat dock, and a range of outdoor amenities to make your stay unforgettable.

Smith Lake, a vacation paradise, is Alabama's third largest with 21,000 acres of deep, clear water and 650 miles of rocky shoreline located adjacent to Bankhead National Forrest and the Sipsey Wilderness Area.
