The view was spectacular ! The cabin was perfect and cozy for a long weekend getaway. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck drinking coffee watching the sunrise. Everything was perfect.

Cozy cabin on the water

We stayed for 7 days here for our anniversary. It was so peaceful- you have houses right beside you but it didn’t seem like anyone was staying there - the cabin was small and cozy - bed was comfy (pillows were firm if you want to bring your own). The view of the lake was amazing! We brought our boat and used the boathouse for the week - a huge plus- the biggest negative would be the driveway - especially if you are hauling a boat- you will need to back down into the driveway- it’s a bit steep and nowhere to turn around once you’re at the house. The only other “critiques” would be there’s no closet space whatsoever- which is doable - we just kept things in our suitcase- and there’s no curtain on the front door - we used a blanket to keep it covered. Those are very minor things. Overall it was excellent. We ate at a couple local places - The Grill - which is right on the water and just a few minutes away and Kat Daddy’s BBQ - both are must try’s!! Pretty much any other restaurants are a good 40min drive - which was also ok with us… The communication with the owners was great!! Quick response time and will answer any questions and try to resolve any problems if there are any. Would definitely stay again!

A Little Slice of Heaven

This is the most perfect place to go for much needed rest and relaxation! The house is perfect for two. It’s beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a short getaway. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. We especially enjoyed sitting in the deck watching the sun shine down on beautiful Smith Lake. The bed is very comfortable and that shower is amazing! We will definitely return!

Weekend getaway

We had a very relaxing time and the views are stunning! We had an issue with one of the a/c units when we got there Friday after 5 and they had someone come out that very night to repair. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing views !!!

Cutest little cabin/house on the lake with beautiful views! Me and my now husband rented this place for our honeymoon to go to Rock the south and it was so nice and comfy ! Would definitely recommend staying there and would stay there again if ever back out that way !

Cute, perfect lakefront stay for two.

Very cute accommodations with everything we needed. Only comment is lack of a working gas grill, but we were okay with this as we just used the stove to cook the few times we cooked dinner.

Great little place for 2 people to stay. The view is beautiful. The cabin was very clean. Smith lake is awesome. Very limited parking. Only had room for one vehicle. Highly recommend this for a weekend get away.

Lovely Cottage on Smith Lake

Very comfortable living space with beautiful views of the lake. Host always prompt with replies to questions (very helpful host). Of note, steep incline driving down to the parking area then limited space to turn vehicle around in order to drive back up and out. Rock steps down to property require careful attention to footing especially when carrying luggage.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

The house was great for me and my wife. We stayed three nights and had a blast. Great location and nice swimming dock with plenty of floats and the lily pad was the best. I would stay here again in the future. The only “complaint” I would have is that the pillows on the bed are thick and firm so I would bring your own pillow. Overall everything was perfect. We accidentally broke a succulent on one of the shelves inside and I messaged the owner and she was very understanding and didn’t make us pay anything extra for it. We did go to the store and bought a new one to replace it though lol.

Peaceful couples’ getaway with terrific views

My wife and I just stayed here for a few days to get away from the hot Atlanta summer. What a fantastic find this was! We’ve never been to this area and didn’t know what to expect. Wow. It was a superb stay on so many levels. First, the house. It’s like a modern little industrial cabin perched on top of a cliff, and fitted with stylish decorations, comfortable seating, and everything you’d need to cook if you stay in like we did. So pretty and cozy. Stephanie has all the little things you don’t feel like packing, such as paper towels, tin foil, coffee, soap, etc. Second, the views. Every room had a beautiful view. It’s open and has gigantic windows. We enjoyed watching the water, boats, and sunrises. Third, the lake itself is spectacular. So clean and a perfect temp. I couldn’t get my wife out of the water! There’s a big flotation pad and deck chairs for your dock time. This is a little gem of a place. We travel a lot and this is a place we plan to come back to as soon as possible. Cozy, quiet, romantic. True relaxation.

Best Weekend Ever

I and my fiance had a wonderful stay here over the 4th of July weekend. The owner was extremely easy to communicate with and check-in was a breeze. The pictures do not do this place justice. The private dock is amazing we are looking forward to our next visit to Smith Lake and this property. I rarely leave reviews but couldn't wait to submit this one.

Fantastic

We loved it!! The property was clean and well equipped with grill's and fire pit. The deck was nice and the view( OMG). The inside was so clean and comfortable. The view from the bedroom window on the lake was breath taking. My wife loved everything about it and she wants to come back ASAP. So do I. Thanks for making us feel right at home. We'll be back soon.

I'd stay here again and recommend it.

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. The cabin was quaint with a very nice view. It felt fairly secluded since no one seemed to be staying at the house next door. All of the essentials were provided and everything was clean. The top of the driveway is a little rough and steep. It was fine with my truck but I imagine a car would not be able to get up it with out spinning a little if it had been raining. If you are bringing your own boat... You will need to back down about 30 feet of the road and then back downhill into the driveway to park with the trailer. It was not difficult for me, but could be for others. I wouldn't want to do it at night. You will have to find a place to launch the boat. I used The Lost Cove. There is a $5 fee but it's only an 8 minute drive and not busy at all. Things that could be improved: I did not see a smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm in the cabin. I'd also recommend a fire extinguisher since there is a fire pit. A lot of expired items in the kitchen: three different types of butter, cream cheese, dips, k-cup coffee pods on the counter (I assume these were meant to be complimentary). The electrical panel in the bathroom is definitely against code. Also the only place to hang wet towels is directly over that electrical panel on a coat rack that is mounted poorly so that it almost falls once a towel is on it.

This small cabin is perfect for 2 people. Had a lot of fun even though it was kind of cold so we didn’t get to enjoy the water. Will have to go back for warmer weather.
