Great location and pet friendly
This unit is very conveniently located, just a short walk from the main road/shops in Cowes and to the beach. It is very well equipped - kitchen and dining supplies, board games, even a ball we found in the lounge for the dog and food/water bowls in the courtyard for the dog. A couple of small downsides - the instructions message received via Stayz says to bring linen etc but that towels are provided... towels are definately not and I had to go to Woolies to buy some (we would've brought them from home otherwise!). A regular deep cleaning could be good to make sure the place is really spic and span (free of dust in the bedrooms, bit of grot in the courtyard). However, overall, this is really very good accommodation taking into account location, dog friendliness and generally smooth booking, access and stay process.

Island Time
Five almost perfect days down at the Island. The unit is in a great location walking distance to great coffee at Waterboy and staggering home distance from the pub. Unit is neat, clean and everything works.

Great location
Lovely little 2 bedroom unit being the front unit in a block of 4. Nice quiet location. Although the unit has parking it is definitely for a small car only. We had to park across the road from the unit but this was definitely not a problem. Unit could do with a dust and de-cobweb job. You do need to take your own linen and coffee pods for the Lavazza coffee machine (word of warning - not the usual size coffee pod - definitely a slim line mini!) All in all we would stay again.

dreadful experience
Locked out of unit and contact person took two hours to rectify grudgingly. Towels paid for but not there and only one bed made up instead of two. The key lock which was broken, and had apparently been broken for some time according to neighbour who had helped previous people wanting access, a locksmith came and smashed the lock to the ground. The cleaner came next morning and made up the second bed and gave us threadbare towels to use. The person to contact was rude and completely incapable of understanding the predicament we were in arriving at 5pm from Brisbane tired and hungry and wanting to go to the toilet and having to wait for two hours for the key to be given to us. The lock in question only costs $20 from Bunnings and we were not the only people the neighbour had witnessed being locked out. One elderly woman on her own arrived late and couldn't get in and was in tears wondering what to do. Obviously this is unacceptable and we will certainly not be recommending anyone to this accommodation.

In all my time of having Chapel Beach House, I have never been verbally abused by guests. The guests contacted me when they arrived at the property, and actions were then taken right away. Unfortunately the fastest time any locksmith could get there was close to 2 hours. The lock safe was working fine for past guests. The reference to a distressed guest was because they had locked themselves out by accident. I had arranged maintenance to attend within 15min, this guest was very greatful.

Lovely Unit
We recently stayed with our two little dogs and had a wonderful time. It was perfectly situated in walking distance to the beach. Also close to the shopping centre. The Unit was excellent for us and had everything we required. We will definitely stay again in the future.

2 minute walk to the beach, 3 minutes to the shops! Amazing locations, has everything you need! Would stay again! Worth noting there is no wifi and you need to take your own sheets/towels. We had a great holiday!

The location of this property was terrific. 1 block away from the beach and Thompsons Road. Inside has been renovated recently. Some minor things that need to be fixed but has everything you need.

Lovely location
We found this property to have everything we needed for a three night getaway with our 11 month old bub. Very handy that it had a portacot and highchair. Kitchen was well equipped. Bed in main bedroom was very comfortable. Location was wonderful, easy short walk to Cowes Main Street and jetty. Thankyou Natasha.

Cosy and convenient
Super easy to find and access. Really thoughtful with supplies of laundry powder, cooking oils, salt n peper etc. Heater makes the place super warm. Close proximity to shops. Only criticism would be we had to supply our own towels and bedding covers. When travelling interstate its a little inconvenient

No wifi, no 5 star
Overall the property was presentable, modern and comfortable despite the kitchen faucet being difficult to control. My biggest disappointment however, was the lack of wifi and internet access. This meant resorting to free to air TV or streaming from my phone to my computer connected to the TV. Not ideal. Wifi and internet access is not expensive and would barely be noticed when added to a daily rate. Fair to say however, that wifi was not mentioned in the listing but given how common it is I simply assumed it. This would be a deal breaker for me in the future.

Two mums, 3 kids and a dog! Well designed and fitted out well. Beds comfy. Lounge and dining area good. Kitchen ok with most things we needed. Easy walk to town and beach. We were happy.

Cowes 1/35 Chapel St Beach House
The property is modern, clean and tidy and great for 2 people, but could comfortably accomodate up to 5 people if required. The RCAC unit provided plenty of warmth on a cold Cowes weekend and all beds were comfortable and suited our needs. It is perfectly located with less than a 5 minute walk to the main street of Cowes and the The Esplanade. You won't be disappointed with this property.

-Great location -lovely and cosy unit -plenty of room for 5 people -clealiness was okay, a bit dusty and dishes in draws weren't all clean -some things needed fixing: fan in the toilet, lose tap, rail missing on the bunk bed Over all it was a great place to stay with the family. It would have been even better if it were a bit cleaner and if the broken things were fixed.

Neat and tidy place,comfortable beds,walk to beach and shops very easily, did notice when we got there the light was on outside the laundry even though the light switch was in the off position ,toilet exhaust fan doesn't seem to work

The house was clean comfortable and welcoming and location to the beach and shops is really good all walking distance amenities are good. The only thing could be looked at is the bunk bed was a bit wobbly and made a fair bit of noise but overall would happily come back again.

A great stay again!
We had such a wonderful time in Phillip Island, second time round at the same property. Love the fact we can take our dog and everything is within walking distance, restaurants, shops. The property is exactly as described and perfect for our family of 5….. mum, dad, 15, 12 and 7. Would highly recommend this stayz. The property manager is excellent and responsive to any questions immediately, couldn’t have asked for more.

Relaxing getaway celebration
Was a very good relaxing place to get away from work and celebrate the end of the year. It was very nice having the Main Street and the beach less than 5min away. Took us a while to find the key, but was very easy from then on out.

Comfort and Convenience
The location was ideal for a stay at Phillip Island. I was impressed with the all round ambience, the surrounding properties, and the wide street. The gardens were attractive, and the interior very well appointed. My only problem was with the electric hob which I found difficult to use. Otherwise, our stay was most enjoyable and comfortable. PS. I couldn’t operate the BBQ. Perhaps there are instructions somewhere?

Tidy, but could have been a bit cleaner for my liking eg outdoor area, state of windows, cushions on couch need to be thrown out, some blankets were very dusty. Renovated kitchen and bathroom. All crockery etc were clean and there was a lot to choose from. It’s BYO all linen which I probably wouldn’t do again. I kept the price very affordable though. Perfect location and very quiet area.
