"We were so impressed with this quaint hotel - Staff was exceptionally peasant - free coffee 24/7 - breakfast was basic but surprised at the value of the room that breakfast was even included. Bed very comfortable with nice desk and chair and comfortable side chair. Shower was very nice."

"Clerk gave me a room key envellope marked 2013 for room 1013 and when I came back saying key did not work in 2013, he said loudly I told you to forget what it said and to go to 1013. Room had no glasses or paper cups, there was not even a continental breakfast. No shampoo in bathroom. 2 tiny soap cakes. Halls and stairs are really old and somewhat scarry. On the plus side, the room itself was clean and the bed was excellent but overall rating would be 2 on 5!"

"Room was clean and nice. The lock on the door was not fully secured to door. Informed staff but no one around to fix it. Offered to move rooms but we chose to stay. My main concern was when I went down the stairs, the fire doors did not latch and were partially open. Upon further investigation I found that there was a mechanism on the fire door that enabled and disabled the latch based on turning a knob on the door.
