Wildcat Cottage was the perfect place for the three of us to enjoy the White River and its environs. Comfy sleeping setup, everything you need for food prep (inside and out on the grill), very nice little living room area and a great view from the deck right on the river. Our host, Andrea, was the best. Great communication and she really has thought of everything that will make you want to return as soon as you can. We highly recommend this gem!

Home away from home!

This was our third time staying at Wildcat Cottage, and we honestly can’t say enough good things about it. The place is just amazing. The host is so friendly and welcoming—it really feels like coming back to a home away from home. The scenery is beautiful, and there’s always so much wildlife around, which makes it even more special. We always have the best time here and can’t wait for our next visit!

Fishing Trip

Absolutely amazing spot, Andrea was a fantastic host with every detail of the trip covered. Beautiful spot with Bald Eagles and 50 feet to clear gorgeous water with huge trout.

Wonderful getaway

This is an amazing place to stay quaint and quiet. Already booked for next year again. Lots of wildlife and fishing. Best place in Arkansas to stay.

R&R trip

Excellent property with perfect access to the river at Wildcat Shoals. Very comfortable clean and homey. Host, Andrea, was fabulous and provided above and beyond what many properties provide. Can’t wait to go back.

Best fishing

Spectacular view with the best hospitality imaginable. Without a doubt some of the best fly fishing available on the river. This place will have you not wanting to leave!!

Wildcat Cottage Review

Immaculately kept cottage and property with a wonderful owner! Excellent air conditioning, nice and cool despite 100+ degree temperatures. Great location for wildlife and birding and, for me, ideal basecamp to fish the White. Bring yourself, virtually everything else is provided.

Nice cottage right on the water

Great place on the White River. Best trout fishing around right out your back door. Andrea is a great host who has thought of everything you could possibly need. This was our fourth stay at Wildcat cottage and we can’t wait to come back again.

This was a fantastic trip! Such a special time for my son and I and this place put the icing on the cake. Beautiful. Fishing was great! The owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was so memorable. 5 STAR in my book! We will most certainly be back!

Trout fishing paradise!

We love it here. This was our fifth visit to Wildcat cottage. The fishing is great, the views are so peaceful. Sitting on the deck watching the wildlife sipping our coffee as the mist rises off the water is just amazing. Andrea has thought of everything. It’s like being at home. She is a wonderful host and we will be back again soon.

Absolutely Beautiful!

Wildcat cottage is all it was advertised to be, and more! Owner has anticipated every need. The cottage is so homey and comfortable that you’ll want to stay for days on end! The river is right outside and the view is magnificent. You can fish from the bank or sit and just enjoy nature. Planning to head back just as soon as we can.

Perfect stay for fishing on the White.

Two fishing buddies who make a yearly trip to fish a few days on the White. These few days off are always a big deal for us. We look forward to it every year. This cabin is perfect. After a day on the river, you can come back and fish some more. The host is very kind and friendly. Highly recommend.

Happy Place

This was our 2nd time to enjoy Wildcat Cottage. We love it here and it is our new Happy Place.Thanks to the host Andrea for the great welcome and the nice detail to making all your guest feel at home and welcome. Million dollar view

Great location. Good fishing right in front. I recommend a boat rental and chest waders if you're serious about wanting to catch fish. Wildlife abounds. Lots of cool birds, squirrels and deer. Eagles are very common and a beaver frequented every night. Andrea is very attentive to your needs and wants. Super clean place with a million dollar view. We're already talking about coming back.

Amazing Stay on White River

My family (husband and two teen boys) stayed at Andrea’s well-appointed cottage for three nights/four days. The setting of the cottage is amazing. I spent hours on the deck watching the river and the variety of birds, including a bald eagle. Andrea is the most thoughtful host I’ve encountered. Not only is the cottage immaculate, she has thought of every detail in terms of what you may need to make your stay comfortable. Towels, headlamps, binoculars for bird watching, a variety of magazines and DVDs…I could go on! The kitchen was well equipped and we also enjoyed steaks on the grill one night. We enjoyed fishing on a guided tour while in Coffer. We loved our stay here. Andrea was such a wonderful host!

OUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

This was our second stay and yet again Wildcat Cottage didn't disappoint! Even though it rained and stormed for most of our stay, we were still able to hit the river for some trout fishing in between storms. We always enjoy the scenery, wildlife, and walking up and down the banks of the river. The host Andrea is absolutely amazing! She always greets us with open arms and definitely makes us feel at home. We couldn't ask for a better host. She may not know it yet, but we've adopted her as part of the family. We will definitely be back for hopefully many more stays.

Fantastic Retreat

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic stay at Wildcat Cottage. For me it was my second time here. Last fall I stayed here with three fishing buddies and we all agreed we would be back. From the moment I arrived with my wife it exceeded her expectation even though I had told her previously how great the property was and also how incredible Andrea our host/ owner is . Aside from the cottage having all the comforts of home and then some its location is absolutely perfect . Being located on a beautiful stretch of the White River just upstream of Wildcat Shoal. You can spy brown trout that measure in feet cruise the gravel bar from your deck that overlooks the river . For anyone considering a trip to the White you will be hard pressed to find a better property and hostess . I highly recommend staying here

GRACIOUS HOST

Saw Bald Eagle take 14" trout. Saw Great Blue Heron swallow an 8" trout. { I caught several too.} Pileated Woodpeckers, Grosbeaks, Baltimore Orioles, Kingfishers, Indigo Buntings, Red-headed Woodpeckers, i.e. bird watcher's paradise. Access to Wildcat Shoals steps away. Get the picture yet? I went there to get away and fly fish - could not be happier! Cottage amenities best we ever had - anywhere. My bride of sixty-one years wants to go back. Enough Said? THANK YOU ANDREA!

Wonderful scenic stay!

Andrea has thought of everything! This is my second time staying here and this time I was by myself just for a trip to relax. I feel extremely safe at her property and she has thought of so many things to help take care of her guests. Her cottage is extremely clean and well taken care of. She is available anytime you have a question and very responsive. The property is beautiful, right on the river. I saw so much wildlife this time especially. Eagles, heron, pileated woodpeckers, squirrels and many more. It's a great place to stay if you're a fisherman or just like exploring the area. You can put in your boat literally right up the road or go down to Cotter which is just a few miles away. Lots of people canoe and there's also the swimming hole to enjoy. It's a great property and I highly recommend it. I will be a returning guest because it feels like home.

Lovely, relaxing getaway

The property was beautiful, right on the river, and the cottage was exceptionally clean and organized. Andrea was a perfect hostess, showed us where everything was located and had many essential extras in case we had forgotten anything. She thought of everything and was extremely friendly. She checked on us occasionally to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The location is perfect for those wanting a fishing vacation or just a relaxing getaway. It was wonderful to start our mornings with coffee on the deck overlooking the river. And spend our evenings by the river in the swing watching the fog roll in. Lots of wildlife in the area, chickens, deer, birds, even horses to see across the road. It's a beautiful, picturesque property and we had a lovely time there and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Andrea for taking care of us and making us feel like family! It was such a blessing to us!
