"You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay in Galle than this. One of the best places I’ve stayed in for a long time. I loved all the thoughtful touches of a cold juice when you arrive, flowers on the best and them putting on the ac before we arrived so we could arrive to a cool room. Free tea and coffee all day and the use of a fridge and freezer was amazing. Staff were also wonderful and very helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. "

"Beautiful old Dutch house, lovely balcony with view of the fort walls and the sea beyond. View west to the setting sun. Swimming spot within three minutes walk. Good fan and AC. "Vi valgte Unawatuna frem for Galle for at komme tættere på stranden. Secret garden ligger i anden række fra stranden med meget nem adgang. Stedet er en fantastisk kombination af en gammel kolonial bygning med omkringliggende have, og moderne srilankansk tilgang til gæster. Vi følte os meget velkomne i et stort hyggeligt værelse med de nødvendige faciliteter. Dejlig morgenmad til fleksible tider."

"It’s odd that the main concern here is asking travellers to pay for their stay the moment they arrive/walk back in to the property/constantly. Payment on check-put is the norm and it’s strange to continually stay in places like this in Sri Lanka where they’re just obsessed with money. We’re all going to pay you for our stays - that’s normal. Please just let us be here and enjoy and pay on departure - which is standard. "

"Possibly the smallest room Ive ever stayed in. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was old and in poor shape, stained lampshade on the tiny desk. Glass door to bathroom so all light flooded thru there. Curtains did not meet in the middle in the bedroom. Bathroom was designed as a wet room, no shower curtain, awkward tiny 1cm "step" between toilet and shower. Kept falling over it. Windows and glass shelf in bathroom were very dirty. Tiled floor in bathroom very slippery when wet no mat provided....

"Big bedroom with a separate living room and a sitting area outside the room/in the corridor. Breakfast was good, except that they could have served butter cut out for each guest instead of letting guests take butter (actually it was margarine) l from the original package with the same knife used for eating. Negative side: shower has no pressure; it drizzles. The mattress is not very comfortable. Noise from neighbouring guests sitting outside the room may be disturbing, especially guests who...

"By far the best place we've stayed in on our trip. Here's why... Really quiet location away from the street noise/pollution. Very helpful, welcoming owners that don't bother you, yet go the extra mile to help (for example when I cut my foot open from too much beach dancing!). The room had all the subtle, useful things we often need as travellers...towels that are absorbent (not tissue paper! :-)), soap, spare loo roll, a knife (I used it to peel an orange), kettle, mosquito net that is...

"Wir durften in diesen wundervollen zwei Villen insgesamt 12 unvergessliche Tage verbringen. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist einfach traumhaft, die Sonnenuntergänge sind unglaublich. Die Anlage mit insgesamt vier Häusern ist perfekt gepflegt und herrlich schattig und sonnig zugleich. Es gibt einen weitläufigen Garten mit großen Palmen der bis zum Strand reicht. Es ist alles eingezäunt, den Strand erreicht man über eine Türe, die nachts abgesperrt wird. Es gibt einen Sicherheitsdienst, der 24...
