"For our second trip to Kauai, we knew we wanted to stay in the Princeville/Hanalei area. The Hanalei Bay Resort was the perfect place for us and our one year-old! Great access to coffee, shops, and groceries. The pool at the resort is divine! We loved hanging out on our lanai, especially birdwatching in the jungle as we enjoyed meals together as a family! The walk down to the beach is super doable for an active family like us, but the shuttles were also super convenient! We did not end up...

"Asked for just a little late checkout ( from 10 am to 11am) and it was refused even after many requests. Owner said that he needed the 6 hours to prepare the tiny condo to another guests. Anyway, we left at 10 but returned 10:45 to pick up a bag we forgot. I was expecting to see people cleaning the condo. Surprised to see nobody there yet. Owner missed the chance to be kind. One tip: get a hard copy of the address and directions because 4G/5G doesn’t work in the area. As for the rest, all great!"

"Nice clean place . We love Princeville. Food was great. Everything was very close. Pool was not heated but the day we were there it was taken over by a birthday party.I was really hoping we would have a view of the ocean but that was a 10 min walk away. "

"Spacious apartment located in a very beautiful area, however, for those who go to Kauai thinking about trails, waterfalls and boat trips, it is better to stay further south of the island. Dark stairs to the bed area. Contrary to what the ad suggests, there is only one parking space to be used by guests in two different apartments.
