"We had mostly unfortunate weather during our stay in Matemwe, which was a shame (and please note that the rain does not enter the villa, even during heavy storms, unlike one previous reviewer's comments). But the villa is stunning, Matemwe as a location is the least spoilt and developed of all the main beaches in the north of Zanzibar, and Natalia is a wonderful host. The photos don't really do it justice. The beachfront location means that when the sun is out, the best place to be is lying on...

"the apartment we stayed in is on the first floor, equipped with everything you need and has a beautiful terrace from which you can never get enough of admiring the beach and the ocean. In the immediate vicinity there are several places where you can serve both local and international cuisine. We spent a wonderful vacation here."
