For Corvallis this property was somewhat dated, it had been renovated. Unfortunately in the past the hotel obviously had allowed smoking. This said, the hallways wreaked of stale cigarettes. Our room was the only sanctuary we had from the smell. The front desk was surprisingly like an afterthought, little ambience and shadowed lighting. Now for the parking, $10 a day for a parking lot unsuitable for a hotel. I have never in my life paid to park my car when I am paying this much for a hotel room. There was an underground as well at which I assume was even worse. Now for the good aspect, the staff was very nice, the view of the river with the OSU rowers was entertaining. We were able to walk on the bike path below the hotel to downtown but keep in mind it does not go all the way through from the hotel. All in all, for the price, which was outrageous, check for yourself, the accommodations were definitely not worth it and we would not stay here again. As a matter of fact, I've stayed at the Marriott by the river, before, and it was light years better. If I felt like it was feasible to check out and check in over there I would have. After all you only have to pay a little bit more for twice the accommodations and ambience.
