The decor at Il Sodo del Sole plays with the traditional Tuscan warmth of terracotta floors, wood beamed ceilings and soft pastel colors and adds a bit of imagination.

From the entrance door, on the left side you enter the sitting room with fireplace while on the right side you enter the room of the Pastaia whose name derives from an old piece of furniture that today contains various objects but which was used to dry pasta! Today it is a large and spacious dining room where guests can spend moments of convivial serenity

Also on the ground floor there is a new and comfortable kitchen equipped with everything a good chef would like to have as tools of the trade.

A stone staircase, typical of the Cortona area, leads to the first floor where you enter the sleeping area. Each room was created following a different theme that differentiates them from each other.

On the back of the house, surrounded by greenery and olive trees, is the private swimming pool. Protected from prying eyes and not visible from the entrance, the particular position chosen guarantees plenty of sun, peace and intimacy. The flooring used for the outside is teak, since it does not heat up in the sun, it allows you to walk barefoot or sit on board and on the ground without the danger of getting burned.

It is perfect for a large family or family reunion - or for a friends and vacation! The house is rented exclusively for groups of 10 to 22 guests.

If you are looking for an evening of home cooked local specialities then be sure to request a dinner prepared at home by Claudia and her sisters where they will serve only the best of local foods and traditions.

The villa is only 5 minutes by car from the historic center of Cortona.
